Subset by category and calendar show details

Hi, I’ve installed the events plugin which shows as follows :

The shortcode doesn’t seem to allow subsetting by a specific event category, i.e. I need separate calendars for each category. How can I set this up?

The calendar itself doesn’t show the details for each day without clicking through on the day. What shortcode setting do we need for this? This is important as people need to see a summary before clicking through; something like this – https://business.eastnorthants.co.uk/business-networking-calendar
