I modifed geodirectory-it_IT.po with POEdit and uploaded .po e .mo files in wp-content/languages/plugins but I cannot see my modifications in the site. Why? Could you help me?

Do you have the site language set to Italian?

    Are you using GDV2?

Yes, as I said before, the folder is wp-content/languages/plugins.

OK, we can check on that for you if you share FTP and WP Admin credentials in a private reply.

Make sure you have translated all the addons and the theme. It may be that the string you are after is not in core but instead in an addon or the theme.

You can change your categories in the category edit screen like:

Places – Place Categories – Edit (Hotel)

To change the title of a widget, open the widget

WordPress – Appearance – Widgets – Widget Title

I don’t know what happened to your pages. I ran the tool to fix them.
