I’m importing lists of locations into my sight and unfortunately, some of the files have the same location listed. I thought I could overcome this by making the
Unique Identifier = {latitude[1]}{longitude[1]} which would be the latitude and longitude of the place I’m importing. in theory, there should not be two things in the same long/lat. But this isn’t working as written, do I need a comma to separate the import fields?

To clarify I’m trying not to create duplicate listings.

    Hello,

    sorry, you are importing locations?

That is not recommend. Locations are added automatically when a listing is added, with the data from the map API.

You can review the recommended procedure here:

I’m not quite sure if I’m importing what you are calling locations. I’m uploading a file to post that contains a list of places, I guess that’s what a location would be right? I’m a little confused by that. The point of the GeoDirectory is to be able to search for places right? It seems to be working, whatever I’m importing, but I do keep getting duplicates. What would you recommend to help lower the number of duplicates? Unfortunately, the titles are often exactly the same, it’s the address that is different, now that I typed it out I’ll try that to see if it works, I’ll just use the physical address as the unique identifier. If that fails do you have any other recommendations?

Locations in GeoDirectory glossary are Cities, Regions and Countries. Thus the Location Manager add-on.

What you call locations, we call listings or places.

I don’t really know if WP All Import has a tool to avoid duplicates.

I’ve asked to developer who built the integration to investigate and let us know.

In the mean time, this could be a question to be asked to WP All Import support too.

    Thanks for your patience.

I’m sorry, thanks for asking the developer. I get you and WP All Import completely confused because I use it exclusively to import the places for GeoDirectory

Thanks for the reply. This weekend the site crashed so I will have to restart all the imports again, which is a real hassle since there are over 1200 files to upload.
