I am getting failure messages on all my geodirectory plugins except the core plugin. It says the failure message says “Directory couldn´t be created”.

Some background information: I moved from a localhost to a server and all works well. I tried to Update the gd-plugins and got an “unautorized” message. So I replaced the licenses. Now I have this “Directory couldn´t be created” message.

    Hi Josef,

please provide a link, admin and FTP credentials and we will have a look. Most likely the problem is caused by wrong folder permissions on the live server.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

Because they are all quite old, you will need to overwrite them using
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#easy

I have installed that plugin and updated the first GD addon.

Let us know how you went.

    Hello Team Geodirectory,

with the new Update, the problem appears again. Does that mean, everytime a new Update appears I have to use the Plugin “Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades” to fix its?

    Best regards and thanks!

    Hi Josi,

It would seem this is some soft of file permissions problem, when i check the file permissions via ftp there are none, i have not seen this before and it will not let me set it to the correct values. The only person who can resolve this is your server admin/ hosting company.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Hi Josi,

You can read more about file permission here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions

In general the whole plugins and uploads folders need to be 755.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
