    Hello,
all of a sudden the maps on my site are not loading anymore and the system tells me that it is impossible to load the Google API-Key (see screenshot 1).
However, two days ago everything was fine and the API-Key is still installed (see screenshot 2).
I also just have generated a new API Key and pasted that one into the field of screenshot 2, however the problem is still there.

Do you have an idea where this error comes from?
Must I now check every day whether there might be something wrong with the google api key?

Looking forward to your quick response 🙂
    Best regards
    Birgit

    Hi Birgit,

you don’t need that plugin to add a gmaps key within GeoDirectory.

GeoDirectory has all options to add the Google Maps API key in Settings > General

Makes sure to remove that plugin and only use the GD build it feature.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks

    Hi Paolo,
having done the conflict test as described I found out that a plugin called Autoptimize causes the problem with the Google Maps in GD.

Autoptimize is a plugin which improves the site performance.
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/

If not Autoptimize, can you recommend a plugin for the same purpase which works well with GD?

    Best regards
    Birgit

    Hi Birgit,

Thanks for your reply. Kindly refer to this section of the documentation that explains more about the settings that you should apply in your Autopimize plugin. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/faq/performance/#minify
