    Hi,

I am struggling with importing my data and getting it geolocated.

I have choose this plugin especially for its all import addon but I cannot get it work properly.

I have a csv file with street, zip code, city and country. No region and no latitude and longitude.

I have tried different ways of importing everything together with all import GD fields. Places are created, but some address fields and coordinates are missing, so places don’t show on the map.

I have tried importing first locations with the native importer but it says my city/region/latitude/longitude are wrong or empty. I don’t have latitude/longitude available. The system is not able to create them? and the other fields are set so why it says this?

Is it possible to import them with all import? I cannot see a specific post type for locations to do it thus…

I put here the main file with all info (hiding personal data) I used for all import and the one for locations I used for native locations import.

Also remark that I changed from google maps to open street map but I had the same issue with google maps.

Is import suppose to fully work and geolocate places and locations in both google maps and open street map?

There is few information about the all import add-on, so I would really appreciate your help here. It is for an urgent project related to covid-19.

    Thanks a lot

    Roland

WP All Import will not add lat/lon for you. That is not a feature of WP All Import or the GD WP All Import integration.

If you need geocoding you can code your sheet using a 3rd party service or, add your geocoding key to GD and use the built in importer.

    Hi Alex,

thanks a lot for your quick help.

I just followed step by step the import recomandations but after trying to reimport the exported file, I still got this error message:

    Total 152 item(s) found.

    3 / 152 item(s) updated.

149 / 152 item(s) could not be added due to blank title/invalid post type/invalid characters used in data.

I didn’t touch anything in the export file.

Any idea why I’ve got this?

update: I deleted all listings and reimported the export file with blank ID and this time I had 47/150 working.
    Still having empty/invalid fields/characters errors.

    Hi Alex,

I finally managed to import them with all import and geolocate afterwards place by place with a web scrawler tool… Not very profesional but working.
Open Street map is not very flexible to geolocate so I had to switch back to google maps to do it.

Another issue I have for future listings and updates of existings is that all import isn’t finding geodirectory custom fields for updates, only for adding new items, so existing data are lost if I choose update existing items.

here is the export file anyway with hidden names and emails. (I tried with , and ; separators)
Tell me if you see something wrong

    Thanks for your help

    Roland
