US and UK Spelling Customize

    Can someone tell me how to change the spelling of customize in the button titled ‘Customize my search’ on the GD search widget? For the English UK audience this is really jarring – especially as it is in such a large font.

    You can change that in the Advanced Search language file.

    Ok. Thanks. I didn’t really get very far with doing it that way. But I changed the spelling in the plugin code editor for that particular word.

    But I presume this is a bad idea because it might be overwritten if I update the plugin one day? I updated it just now and it didn’t remove the new spelling but could it do?

    Indeed not a good idea, that should already have been overwritten unless it was a different plugin you updated. I think you’ll find PoEdit really useful once you are past the learning curve.

    Ok, I’ll try and persist 😉

    I am finding Geodirectory great to use on the whole. A really powerful package, with enough flexibility to adapt to individual requirements. Anything I’ve wanted to try and achieve so far has usually been possible even if it’s taken me a while to work it out. So thank you. And helpful, speedy support feedback always give you confidence in a system. Keep up the good work!
