Hey all,
I updated GD to v2 and all seemed to have installed/converted fine. I followed the steps the only “odd” issue was that the v1 to v2 conversion didn’t work automatically. I forced it to run with the URL add you mentioned and although I all the data seems to be visible now, I received no error or success message.
This is all a setup for the fact that the shortcodes aren’t being interpreted. I even looked at your default template pages – not just my converted pages – and it’s not working. I poked around at log files as far as I could find and didn’t see anything helpful.
Thanks for any guidance you can provide!

ThanksDecember 20, 2018 at 3:16 pm #459482Well, I knew you were going to say that. 🙂 I have this running locally on my MAC as a dev environment. Let me run through the same steps in our online staging environment so that I can get you guys to take a look at it.

Also, your GD plugins are not up to date.
I’ll get a developer to have a look too, but maybe you can just create another staging site and have another try. Let us know.December 20, 2018 at 10:29 pm #459534Well, I swear I did. Step by step…unless I misunderstood something. Do you have any idea what I didn’t follow correctly? The only thing I didn’t do is disable non-GD plugins, is that what you’re referring to?
Also, I SWEAR, that I was up-to-date this morning, not sure when .42 came out…but just updated it and still no workie.
Thanks for having a developer take a look…appreciate any guidance. Happy to restore and try again if you can give me any guidance on what to perform differently.
Thanks!

December 23, 2018 at 8:25 pm #459831It seems I remembered everything but that 😛
Done…the account now has wp-admin access. Please try again. Thanks!
December 24, 2018 at 12:22 pm #459865Hello,
I have done v1 to v2 conversion on your staging site and seems all fine. Now you can customize design for GeoDirectory pages & listing templates. See for more help https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/

December 24, 2018 at 7:14 pm #459887Kiran, great. Thanks…so you followed the same directions I did with no problem or was there something you did to make it work? Just curious as I’ll need to replicate this on our prod site. Thanks!
December 25, 2018 at 4:51 am #459913Hello,
You can follow instructions listed here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/installation/#convert
Just make sure
– WP_CRON not disabled on site
– Make each GeoDirectory plugin active, which you are using in v1 and available in v2.
– Disable any customization related to GeoDirectory(via theme functions.php or via snippet)We recommend v1 to v2 conversion on staging site. Later you can move staging site data to live once you find conversion fine.
Please try from your side and let us know if you have any issue.
Merry Christmas from GeoDirectory Team 🙂

Just an update. I’ve tried this every way possible…following you comments, the install etc….always end up with the same thing. Shortcodes don’t work. You clearly did something that I’m either missing or not in the install. Any update you can provide is much appreciated.
Thanks!
