    Hello,
I have a website project made with wordpress and woocommerce and I’m looking for a plugin that allows me to geo-locate products on a map.
Maybe your solution does everything, here is my need in detail:
I have rooms to rent monthly and with automatic renewal. I would like users to be able to find them by searching by city, by district, etc. And next to the results, a map would represent their location (like airbnb). Nothing original yet. My constraint is the monthly rental, that’s why I installed woocommerce with the “woosubscription” plugin to manage subscriptions. So I end up with an ecommerce website that allows monthly rental by subscription (because I don’t want to rent by day / night). What I miss is having the possibility of geolocating the “products / rooms for rent”.
I tested WP Store Locator but I am looking for a solution on which I can create pretty “small presentation cards” on the world map, when we fly over or click on the marker, and add text, pictograms. And above all – very important: add a link to my product page (from woocommerce)
Is it possible to do this with your solution? And if so which plugin should I buy from you?
But maybe I can also buy a theme like “real estate agency” on which I add the woosubscription plugin?
Thank you in advance for your assistance
    Christelle

GeoDirectory does not have a built in option for geolocating products and will not add that functionality to WC products.

    Hello,
thank you for this answer which has the merit of clarifying the future situation. 🙂

Is it possible to integrate a link (to an url of my WC products) on the small maps (with the mouse over the marker) and on the results (on the titles or in the text)?

Thank you in advance and good day

GeoDirectory is for mapping listings, which are the custom post type(s) that can be created with GeoDirectory. This functionality is not available to other WordPress posts or WooCommerce products.

It is possible to create a listing and then create a link to a product though, that is stored within the listing.

    okay,
I only have a few “products” (around 30) in the shop, so I thought I would create 30 cards (cards – sorry, I’m French and I try to explain well) with GD and add a link to the WC products on each card from GD, because I need to use the WC subscription system. Is it possible ?
Otherwise, if I add a price in the GD files, is it possible to link them with the WC subscription system. In fact it is this subscription system that interests me, the advantage of woo suscription is that it manages renewals by client, which allows them to pay monthly after receiving a notification by email. Unfortunately I don’t find a WP theme or plugin that allows me to rent a room by the month and not by night. I like GD, that’s why I’m interested. If there is a possibility that interests me …

You could edit the GD Archive Item to display the link to the product, yes.

There is a setting to show a custom field in the Map Bubble, you could use that to display a link to the product, too.

    Hello Alex,
I looked (in wp) for the settings.
I edited “gd archives” and gd archives item “but I don’t understand what you mean.
    in Gd archives, I have:
    [Gd_notifications]
    [Gd_category_description]
    [Gd_search]
    [Gd_loop_actions]
    [gd_loop layout = 2]
    [Gd_loop_paging]

And I have a lot more in “GD archive item”

And nothing that looks like “bubble”.

And in the “Places / setting” parameters I can only add to “place listing” never in “bubble”. So I’m completely lost.

And I spent some time … can you orient me a little more?

To control what shows in the map bubble you can visit the individual fields and choose “Show in extra output locations” then choose “Map Bubble”

    Hello Alex,
Thanks again, because I could put a link on the bubble 🙂
I really needed this and I was really lost :/
    I like GD!
I would like to test with a payment solution to simulate the rendering and the possibility of creating my website with: Listing + payment.
Thank you again, it helps me to go further and perhaps adopt GD!
    Have a very nice day

    Hello @alex,
I understand how to add custom fields.
For some of them I would like them to appear on the “listing page” and on “map bubble”.
The problem is that on some custom fields it works but not on others.
For example, the custom field “price”, I would like it to appear in the listing page, in the detail page and on the bubble.
So I put everything in “Show in extra output location” in the custom field “price”. The result is that it appears well in the listing page, in the detail page but not in the bubble.
Is it possible to customize the contents of the detail pages, the listing page and the bubbles map?
Because it doesn’t work when I do it through “place / setting”
Can you tell me if I’m wrong?
    thank you in advance

I can check on that. Show in extra locations setting should work for most fields.

Please share WP Admin credentials and site URL so we can take a look at the settings.

    Alex
I just managed to insert a text field with the tab. Finally !
But how do you give it a pretty shape? With a nice font, bold etc … Like the “description” field?
    Is it possible ?

Ah, of course, you are using Listimia. You will need to put in a ticket with them to ask if they will allow you to add more fields to the map bubble. They created a template that does not include GD Output locations for the map bubble. It looks nice but can’t have more data added to it with GD Settings.
