    Hello Team:

I followed Alex’s suggestion despite everything looking alright I did not want problems updating after we are live.

    So I Started the following
“to use the extensions page, first deactivate and delete all addons.
then add your Membership key on the membership tab
then install addons from the extensions page”

I deactivated and deleted all addons. Then WordPress tells me there is a new update for WP Easy Updates. I take this moment to try and install it before redownloading the addons. The addons fails with the following message “Update Failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure”

I have also attached a screenshot.

Thank you everyone for your time. I appreciate you being so responsive to support and bug patching!

    Warm Regards,

    Jonathan

    Does that happen still?

You can update it manually in the interim using a plugin like Easy Theme and Plugin upgrades.

If it happens again on your staging server we can take a look, too.

In the mean time I have flagged your topic for the developer to look into it on our side.

    Thanks

    Hello Alex:

Yes, it still happens. I still get error “Update Failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure”

So there is a plugin update but it will not install.

I could be mistaken, is the only real purpose this plugin provides is a way to obtain the extensions from the GeoDirectory extensions page or does it provide other functionality that the Core WordPress Plugins system does not provide? Is there a way you can have the Core WordPress system manage the Extensions page functionality?

I may be wrong but I thought I have seen other plugins not require an additional plugin to have their own Extension management page.

Thank you very much for all of your help Team GeoDirectory!

    Warmest Regards,

    Jonathan

OK, well, we are looking into the issue on our side.
You can manually update in the meantime: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/installing-addons/#manual

The plugin manages licensing as well.

    Hi Jonathan,

That error can be for a number of reasons, i think the most common is running out of hosting disk space.
