Hello,
sorry for coming up with this issue again – but i cant find a solution.
Problem:
The map isnt zooming to the location. When i type in the zipcode for Hamburg,
i can see the projects below. But the Map still shows the whole country.
Even the “search radius of 10 meters) doesnt work for the map. Here is the link:
http://kunden.bonindesign.de/deineinsatz/projekte-suchen/Can someone help ?
January 16, 2017 at 1:07 pm #343526Please post WP admin details in a private reply. Thanks
Did you transfer the site from localhost? And did you then change all references correctly as per https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Changing_Your_Domain_Name_and_URLsJanuary 16, 2017 at 1:33 pm #343533This reply has been marked as private.January 16, 2017 at 9:43 pm #343816You should use the Listings map on search pages, not the home map, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/
And GD > general > Search tab > “Limit squared distance area to X miles (helps improve search speed)” cannot be empty.
So I tried replacing it by just swapping the widget, and it looked like I did break something. You might have to check the CSS and the widget width. Terribly sorry about that, hope it is simple enough to fix.
January 17, 2017 at 8:11 am #344209Hey,
what did you change ? Its fixed now – for locations who have this places.
Is it possible to build a redirect like : if search = “empty” then redirect to the
search place. — OR Change the radius to 0 ?
Do you know what i mean ?PLease explain what you change – then i can do it locally.
Did you change styling aswell ?THanks man !
January 17, 2017 at 10:22 am #344327I did add some CSS in style.css.
If you change the radius to zero, you never will find anything.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/searching-and-browsing/#searchI think what you mean is that you want these pages:
http://kunden.bonindesign.de/deineinsatz/location/germany/sachsen/leipzig-1
http://kunden.bonindesign.de/deineinsatz/location/germany/sachsen/
http://kunden.bonindesign.de/deineinsatz/location/germany/January 17, 2017 at 11:32 am #344353This reply has been marked as private.January 17, 2017 at 11:40 am #344354One more thing:
When it type “asdas” in the search – there is already an alert – like zero results error.
Can i have something like this in the links ?Or i have to disable the links – and enable them, when there is a location in this area.
January 17, 2017 at 12:00 pm #344359None of the results pages are at http://kunden.bonindesign.de/deineinsatz/projekte-suchen/
The results pages will always be a page like this:
http://kunden.bonindesign.de/deineinsatz/?geodir_search=blablablaWhen you type “asdas” in the search, you get an alert because you have customized the Search widget.
That would not happen with the default search, you can try it here: http://wordpressmu-3822-8567-17899.cloudwaysapps.com/try-geodirectory
Support for customizations is not available.January 17, 2017 at 7:51 pm #344702This reply has been marked as private.January 17, 2017 at 9:16 pm #344749got it – was hidden in the widget area 😉
January 17, 2017 at 9:27 pm #344757I found out that the body on the destroyed search has “search-no-results” –
can we make a listender and an redirect then via jquery ?
What would you suggest ?January 17, 2017 at 9:46 pm #344761I’m not sure I understand what you mean, even after reading the whole thread.
Please explain with more details.
Thanks
January 17, 2017 at 9:54 pm #344766Hi Paolo
1. Go to http://kunden.bonindesign.de/deineinsatz/projekte-suchen/ and enter “gg” in the search field.
Because that is the NEAR field, the MAP APi gives an error.I think that is the what the question is about, I think he wants a redirect instead to another page. But not sure either.
@alphavader
“When i click on Hamburg -where does GD get the cuppoard and all the design info from?”
That is the GD Search page, see more at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directoryJanuary 17, 2017 at 10:25 pm #344781I got you now, probably yes, however that is way beyond support.
If you are not comfortable with jQuery, you’ll have to hire a freelance developer for similar things.
Thanks
