@paolo: thank you so much for the detailed explanation, now it makes sense. I think this should be documented on your website. A newbie is lost if he doesn’t understand this logic.
Thanks also for fixing the use of the wrong map widget.
Thanks,

Since you hardcoded a French word in the settings, I changed it to “listings. When I tested it right after doing it it worked, now I have one more case where it doesn’t work:
When going to a listing like this one:
https://www.arbolife.com/fr/listing/switzerland/neuchatel/le-locle/la-croix-bleue-2/And then clicking on the city of the breadcrumb, it points to this link:
https://www.arbolife.com/fr/listing/switzerland/neuchatel/le-locle/There is one listing found, but the map shows an error message.
The same is true with the location slug root:
https://www.arbolife.com/fr/annuaire/switzerland/neuchatel/le-locle/Is that because there’s only one listing in this city? These ones work fine:
https://www.arbolife.com/fr/listing/switzerland/neuchatel/neuchatel/
https://www.arbolife.com/fr/annuaire/switzerland/neuchatel/neuchatel/Thanks for your help with this.
Best,
MarcHi Paolo,
So what is the proper Geodirectory way of displaying a list of available tags?
Thanks,

Thanks, it works great and fixed another issue as well (https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/404-error-on-pages-of-listing/).
I’m still confused about the need for 2 different root slugs, why would I need a different one for Locations than for Listings since the rest of the permalink structure is the same ?
Thanks,

Hi Paolo,
I did follow these instructions and uploaded a geodirectory-fr_FR.mo to /wp-content/lanugages/geodirectory and geodirlocation-fr_FR.mo to wp-content/lanugages/geodirlocation. Both have all the French translation for the word “Location” completed.
I also loaded geodirectory in WPML string translation and checked. Every instance of Location is translated.
Yet in French, the breadcrumb still shows “Location”.
What about my question #2 ?
Thanks,

Hi Stiofan,
Thank you, that’s fantastic support. It makes me confident that buying the GD package will be a good investment.
Cheers,
