And cannot be linked to categories for other cpt’s?
Correct
Now it sounds as if you are saying that is possible by creating a custom field?
No, it is still not possible to disable address on a per listing basis.
Looking forward to checking out the site!
We have a snippet that does something similar to “Get Directions” using the listing lat/lon that can be used with different URLs:

Hello!
Thank you for your questions.
1) If i understand correctly, when a CPT is linked it becomes a tab on the listing’s Detail page, and does not becomes an actual Detail page itself, correct?
Each listing type (CPT) can show one ab with Listings of a Linked CPT, and if events are setup, then the second linked CPT will show as a text link in the sidebar.
2) Can one possibly link to multiple CPTs manually in the admin dashboard? (rather than automatically)?
It is only possible, within one link type between two CPTs, to link one listing to one other listing.
3) Since currently a listing/User can only link to one other CPT, does that mean if a listing/User is linked to Events (a CPT), they can’t link to any other CPT?
It means that the events tab will be shown. Linking to the other type is possible but will only show as a text link in the sidebar on the detail page.
**I also put in my strong vote for having default CPT (places listing/user) be able to link to more than one CPT in v2.** Hopefully this feature will be available soon after it’s released.

June 3, 2018 at 10:41 pm in reply to: Images are missing from directory index page after switch to HTTPS #433446Hello,
this is a general WordPress problem and so there are many articles about how to fix the issue.
http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/search-and-replace-plugin-for-wordpress-database/
Is there any other documentation other than just the link provided?
Not specificaly about linking CPTs, no, but there are many forum topics and we are happy to answer questions. If you need concierge service and hands on support to set it up you can contact a GD Expert here: https://geodirectoryexperts.com
Or read more topics: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/search/?bbp_search=link+cptIf I can link Places and the Online Only CPT to utilize the same category pool and then have category/sub-category available, then I may be alright.
Each CPT has a unique set of categories, and are not linked to categories for other CPTs.
What I am trying to do: Cohabitate my listings with physical location and those that are online only, while not having to duplicate category pools (maintenance nightmare) and while having a full category / sub-category relationship to list businesses then products / services in places and in Online Only.
Can you share the site URL, so we can see what type of listings you are working with? Maybe that will help us understand the case better.
Have you considered using one or more custom fields to denote the online presence? For example, what if you used only one CPT, but then added custom fields like:
Online Outlet 1 Website (Link field)
Online Outlet 1 Description (Textarea field)
Online Outlet 2 Website (Link field)
Online Outlet 2 Description (Textarea field)What would be better would be if I can list each category as a cpt for maximum flexibility and then have category and subcategory under each CPT with its own unique schema, but because I can only use Places and Online Only, my preferred method of building this is not available.
If it possible to hide fields for different categories, so, adding 100 custom fields, but only allowing 34 fields and category A for price page 1, 46 fields and Category B for price package 2 etc.
Hello!
We generally recommend using he “Generate API Key” button to create the API key because that automatically creates a key with appropriate APIs enabled.
We can take a look at the site and settings if you would like to make a private reply and include login details.
There is another step you can take, too, which is to open the CHeom dev tools console where API errors are displayed: https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/console/
Definitely!
It is possible to add links to the site menu to direct site visitors to the add listing page.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigation
You can also add the LoginBox Widget to give visitors a convenient login form that also displays links to the add listing page once they are logged in.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#loginbox
Let us know how it goes!
Hello
I hope it is easy. Here are the steps:
Step 1
Setup the GeoDirectory Pricing Manager Addon and use the Prices tab create a pricing package that is not free.
Step 2
Configure WP Invoicing with settings and gateways to help your customers finish checkout.https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/prices-and-payments-add-on-overview/
That is not possible because data is submitted on the preview page.
The plugin is working fine, and we always fix issues/bugs right away.
The issue as explained above is with FB, and is focused on Facebook having changed policies for applications running on their platform. FB has recently publicized new “Review” procedures, a solution for their business model, but the new review process is very slow.
Old and new applications alike running on their Faceook platform must be submitted for review.
I looked at one of your listings as an example:
places/united-states/ohio/cincinnati/biking-trails/mitchell-memorial-mountain-bike-trail/To add images, use the “Place attachments” field. If you upload more than one, you can drag and drop to re-order, and the first image will be used as the featured image.
Hello,
It is possible t hide categories or post types from the map at Geodirectory – Design Map
Hiding cities is not possible, but it is possible to redirect the user to the site’s default location with the settings at Geodirectory – Multilocations –
First time load redirectIf there is something specific that you ant to hide that was not mentioned, please reply with a URL and let us know what to look for.
Linking CPTs is possible, take a look here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/linking-custom-post-types/
When you say “subcategories” do you mean something different from the way that each category can have a parent category?
Hello,
the site appears to be down? Please let us know when it is up and we should take a look.
