Hello,
GD will create pages based on the locations, so, if you add listings for each island, then there will be a Location page for each island.
It is then recommended to use categories for different business types.
You can add the ‘loginbox’ widget to give your visitors a link to their listings.
Hello,
you can try:
`
ul#menu-main {
float: right;
}We recommend UsersWP, our plugin for enhanced user profiles that provides the most/best integration with GeoDirectory.
We also offer the Buddypress integration addon. Make sure you have Buddypress installed first before you enable it, and then you can adjust the options in the GD settings area.
Let us know if you run into any issues with GD.
Hello,
I am able to see the issue, and I also cannot see widgets showing up.
Please provide FTP information so we can diagnose further.
I have disabled GD Booster for the moment while diagnosis is happening.
1# and 2# See this page: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/where-can-i-find-map-markers/
3# Please see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/why-do-my-locations-get-a-1-at-the-end/
4# You can use the price package options to ‘exclude’ a category. GD – Prices – Edit – Exclude categories – However, this will also hide the category from you! So, you may wish to use an admin only custom field instead: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#custom
Are the settings correct if I want the user to pay €9.99 every 30 days?
YES – but not every 30 days; every one month
I do not get the Event Features in the add-on (see 2nd enclosed picture). If I want people to be able to add an event to their listing, I need to set link business to YES?
YES – set link to yes, and listing owners will see an option on their listing to add an event
March 15, 2018 at 1:20 am in reply to: Don't know how to use "Make Friends" and "Message" features via Buddypress… #4215131. Could you please describe how can I send friend request to another listing owner or message as well?
There is not a friends feature, but you can try our UsersWP plugin for enhanced profiles and chat. https://userswp.io
2. There are some glitches I experienced till date. As sometimes when users check the “Near Me”, the website doesn’t show the actual location?
You can find out the details of how search works here. If there is a listing that you think should show up in a specific search, send over the listing url and the search url where you think it should show and we can discuss it or identify the issue.
3. And also when I open the website in mobile devices, click on the change location button, it won’t show all of the cities it has?
Please share a URL and the resolution you are testing, as well as any other information needed to see the issue like the OS and browser.
4. There is a locaation mentioned in one of listing’s title that is “Shalimar Bagh”. The issue is when user type in “Shalimaar bagh”in location box, the listing doesn’t come up sometimes???
Do you mean the “Near” search field? That sounds like the listing title, and the “Near” field is based on the address/location of the listing, whereas the “Search for” field is based on the title and description. For detailed information see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search/
Hello,
have you added a plugin or changed the theme?
Please see this page: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/troubleshooting-guide/#php
Hello,
you can rearrange some fields inside the Custom Fields settings. For “Places”, for example, you would go to GD – Place Settings – Custom fields
Then drag and drop the fields on the right to change their order. Some fields cannot be moved or are not available.
Hello,
we can try to provide you another example of how to add custom CSS. Please send over the URL to that page and we can take a look.
However, we do not provide customizations for themes and that includes CSS, so you can take a look at this page to find out how to create your own custom CSS: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/
Hello,
#1 please make a detailed read of this page, as it explains several important aspects of search. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search/
#2 – GD- Registered Users / Add Listing. The original author does not matter if you are using the Claim Listing Addon, as the claimant will become the new author.
#3 – GD – Pricing Manager. Set the “Alive days” to something besides 0
#4 – GD – Pricing Manager. Is there any way to show my Price titles: you can use the instructions here to add a body class, and then use CSS to style the listing. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/common-code-snippets/#package
#5 – GD – Home – is there anyway to replace the PLACES text with MEMBERS – see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-do-i-change-place-and-places/
There is a custom feature for the Whoop theme that allows this, but it is a feature that is part of that theme, as opposed to the GD plugin.
You can also see this topic and provide more information if this does not solve the issue: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/disable-automatic-slide-show/
Let us know what you find out when you switch the theme and disable non-GD plugins.
