Also, a few other steps that could help
1. Get an updated Google API key at GD > Design > Map
2. Reinstall the Advanced Search Filters Addon (delete files, upload new)
3. Try disabling Buddypress (after other steps) and check the home page again. Also specifically check the events in the category “camps” and check the page at “events/camps” for other chrome console errors.Glad to hear it!

Yes, you could make a new CPT “Representative” and another for “District”. You could have Representatives linked to districts, too, and a custom field for “Terms of Office”.
GeoDirectory doesn’t deal with shapes/polygons on maps, just point data.
Of note, an interesting customization would be to integrate one of the plugins for “Find my representative” and then provide a link to that representative on your directory. This one uses Sunlight and Google APIs https://wordpress.org/plugins/find-your-reps/ – it would then need to be integrated with GD to match the remote data to what you have in your directory.

Note: Some members have chosen to hire developers to create custom functionality for their site. There are a number of ways to customize both the way that events are filtered and the way those listings are then presented on the screen. The customization in question is not necessarily available here in the forums or indeed repeatable without undertaking the same customization.
You seem to be able to adjust your event sort order. Have you also included ‘featured’ in the sort order?

Did you create the cache directory?
Please make a private reply with FTP so we can continue with diagnosis of the issue.
About the cache directory, in the process of checking the events data, I was attempting an export and I received the error that the file could not be created, pointing me to the potential permission issue.

You could have pins for each representative, for sure, and a custom field with the name of each district. If you added the field, then export the listings, you can then add all those data into your sheet and bulk import it so you could have all those reps on a map.

There are a number of examples provided in the WP dev link for ordering by metadata. Instead of sorting, maybe supply the array directly. It is all of it a customization and outside the scope of support.
