When you work on the GD Page templates, you will have a choice of which of the theme page templates to use. These are in the Page Attributes section of the page.
GDF Modern doesn’t has a widget area called GD Top. I will ask the developers if that is supposed to be below the header. Right now it is showing inside the content section and is not full width.

conditional fields are on the roadmap but we don’t have a date for it as we have some other pressing goals.
I have added your use case and the team will consider it when implementing the feature.
At this time I do not know of a way to achieve that without a customization.
The developers will let us know if there is a workaround, but for now the best bet is to hide that link with CSS and add your form with the shortcode or widget.

To make all searches “Near” searches, simply turn off autocomplete for the near field.
