Go to the WP Backend
Click Pages
Find the page and click ‘edit’It is not possible to preview or view GD Templates directly.
However, as soon as you make your changes toa page template like the Archive page you can see the changes. For the archive template, you can visit the appropriate page, like the places archive /places/ and see the changes. When you mention the “register” page, GD doesn’t have a register page. Which plugin is creating that page?
Can you share the address that didn’t work? I’d like to test it and see what happens
ThanksAugust 19, 2019 at 2:50 pm in reply to: Sharing Places to Facebook always using Default Image #503715This reply has been marked as private.Bulk edit can be done by exporting the categories, editing, and then importing the changes. The default CPT image is used in place of the category image, if none is set:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/images/#fallback
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/categories/Images should be the size/dimension that looks best in the place where you will use them on the site. Much depends on the container where the image will be displayed. Where will you use the category image? in GD Categories? Will you show it as a square, landscape, panorama? CSS can be used to make sure the image shows up a certain way.
As an example for listing images, if all the images loaded to post_images are to be used in a full width 16:9 slider, then listing owners should be informed that they should upload an appropriate image.
You can use GD Post Address to show the address almost any way you want:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/design-elements/#gd_post_addressDoes the GD Search page template have content in it? The default content?
If that isn’t the issue, please share WP Admin credentials in a private reply and we will take a look at that issue.
Hi,
to use kits, change the type select to kits and fill out the options (see screenshot below).

August 19, 2019 at 2:06 pm in reply to: Best way to handle online businesses with no address #503697If you want to mix e-tailers in with other vendors that do have a location, you can encourage them to purchase some specific package from you that includes a franchise in all the regions you run on your site. Then they can make a listing, say, in the capital of each state, and their business will show up on all the archive pages for each location.
The developers are aware of the issue and have looked into it several times. I will flag your topic for them to share their latest update about that issue.
When you use the inspector you will see the CSS that controls the clusters and can create your own custom CSS to change the styles. The process to do that is described here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/
The developers are considering adding additional features to style marker clusters in a future version, after some higher priority tasks.
August 19, 2019 at 1:43 pm in reply to: Searching functions are slow (changing post types and map display) #503692Map load speed can be greatly improved with Marker Clusters and the GD Map cache option in GeoDirectory – Settings – General – General – Show advanced
Have you already enabled those?
I made a note for the developers to consider it for future versions.
Thanks for the suggestion
Alex
try ‘winter park, fl’
If that doesn’t give you results, share wp admin credentials in a private reply so we can take a look.
If your directory is in one country, region, or city, you can add information to the nearby query in the search settings at:
GeoDirectory – settings – search – show advanced – Search near additional
I do not see what you mean. Can you share a screenshot and say more about the problem?
Template pages cannot be viewed directly from the frontend but you can edit them from a backend editor including fusion builder.
In the backend edit screen you should see the options to add widgets or shortcodes.
