Yes, comments have a lot of WP settings, powerful once setup.

Badges can also be added the GD Archive Item and GD Details templates
If you want to present the search form in a different way I am sure it can be done with a customization. I would recommend that you configure your products to make best use of the custom search options available with advanced search filters.
Once you have the results you are looking for, you would then make a query builder that could work over the API.

what needs be done is to create Theme Builder layouts.
You can do that under the Theme Builde menu item.
No known issues for Divi at this time.
Right click and select save as on your desktop, then you can open it with Open Office to edit.

For the badge, check the widget settings and the advanced options, too.
For the listing comments, they are enabled on that listing at the bottom.
You can also view the list of Places (WP Backend -> Places all) and use the bulk edit to enable comments
