That’s right. Claim status changes are not supported at this time.
If the claim happens at the same time as the payment, then paid listing status will take effect.
In the GD Settings, try selecting your main menu:

If you want to show other ‘features’ like something from another plugin in the GD listing, you can do that with shortcodes. We recommend that most integrations be accomplished with adding shortcodes to the listing display page.

Why can one assign to the side no suitable GD-Template if one edits the side (for example, GD-Startseite/location)
What is ‘central management’?

You can restore V1 with a backup. V2 is different.
