The addon should be installed, but you are saying it won’t activate, that you get a 500 on activation?
And you are trying to install the V2 of the addon with GDV2?

Even the United States map will not center on Lebanon (center of contiguous) when Hawaii and Alaska are included,a s you show.

Have you already disabled your server cache and refreshed your browser cache?V1 snippets generally aren’t going to work with V2.

Upgrading to GDV2 and setting up a custom directory map on your custom front page is going to be a better long term solution.
To do that custom PHP or CSS code must be written.
You can do it yourself, or hire a developer.
