Hi Stiofan,
thanks for the message. Good to know.
Best,
DirkI’m just wondering and concerned because I don’t see any pull request or commit to the GD Core v1 repository anymore.
Hi Ron,
the cron job for log rotation failed. You are in the wrong forum.
Best,
DirkHi Axl,
With the free plugin you can only add places to the default location. You need the Location Manager Plugin.
Have you tried to add a place in Zurich? This should work for you.Best,
Dirk– I like to the an overview about the locations and with the location manager also an overview about location without places (or within the Tool area).
– Recently added places and CPTs
– Recently registered users
– Recent listing claims
– Upcoming expiring subscriptions
– Most used search phrasesMaybe later some more if you want
Hi Kor,
When I’m looking at my access logs I’m also seeing this warning.
With a quick look at the source the function is deleting the json files (and all of them) if the cache lifetime (24h) is reached. Next step is trying to read the file, but it does not exists (deleted before).
But at the end the map is still working or I have not seen any user issues with it.
Best,
DirkI suggest to open an own topic about this if you like to further discuss
Best,
DirkP.S. Why cannot edit my last post?
Yes, that’s it. It is a toolset to create CPTs (Custom Post Types). In theory you can also handle existing CPTs like GD or others and link them to each other. But this is overkill.
I created a CPT “products” and it is much easier to create templates and views for the CPT “products” with the Toolset (was too lazy to code all this by my own). Is working like my specification. But you should have a look on what Guust suggested. GD CPT is powerful, also linking things (with some needed adaptions). You can switch off the geo location as I guess you don’t need them for your CPT jobs.
Best,
DirkTo link GD CPTs to non-GD CPTs or/and vice versa can be done with Toolset Types. I did this linking geolocated places with a “product” CPT. It would be great to have this native within GD V2, but I’m good at the moment.

for my directory I’m not using such kind of function as the search relevance is important for me. Was just curious if this is technically possible. It is just changing the order and not hiding any search result.
But I can think of use cases that have the featured listings always in front of the search and not as second priority of the sorting. This should be the decision of the user 🙂

I’m wondering a little bit, because I’m using
geodir_filter_widget_listings_orderby
filter to get listings with featured image to the front of the listings page.
I made a quick check and for me this is working to use the mentioned filter. It is adding featured hard to the front of the orderby statement:add_filter('geodir_posts_order_by_sort','_my_custom_order_by',10,3); function _my_custom_order_by($orderby, $sort_by, $table){ if (is_search()) { $orderby = $table . ".is_featured asc," . $orderby; } return $orderby; }

there is a filter called
geodir_posts_order_by_sort
that you can use, I think, also for search.
Example is hereBest,

Hi Marktowers,
I’m running WF Premium with firewall in extended protection for over a year. All rules are active and I have never recognized or got any complain from one of the listing owners that something is not working.
There are a couple of whitelisted URLs, all coming from backend actions (added by false positive dialog).Best,
