Our database is both worldwide and rather large, and mostly people are not going to be physically visiting the locations listed, but rather getting something shipped from there, so they need a larger area view in this case.
Even without this being the case though, I do think it’s a little misleading that a Near search for Florida would only search a portion of it? Without stating anywhere what the actual range is, this could make people think that there’s nothing else in Florida outside of those results. Thanks for the consideration! It’d be really helpful in our case, so I look forward to any updates on the search functions.
How do we make IN searches as the default? Again, most people visiting our site are just typing in the name, and that doesn’t give results for everything that should be showing up.
Even with setting the miles out farther for near searches to get better results, it’s not what we need to accomplish since in states like Texas it still won’t show everything if it’s too far out, and in little states it’s going to show things from other states too. This reply has been marked as private. We have deactivated & reactivated everything and it’s still not letting us update the extensions.
Do you mean that the membership license doesn’t work for the extensions?Alright, nevermind that last message! For some reasing Yoast SEO is causing our editing troubles, but I just tested again with everything off other than GD and we’re still getting the popups in IE on the backend gd post type pages.
Actually, we just now noticed another problem, it won’t let us edit any text boxes in our post’s edit areas. Still only in IE. I tried disabling Geodirectory for a moment to see if this would fix it, but it did not, so maybe the issue isn’t with GD. If those two things are related at least. I’ll let you know if I find anything out.
Any progress on this yet? It’s a little annoying navigating with this problem.
Do you mean it’ll be fixed in the next update then? We are using V2, sorry if I posted in the wrong forum. I just tested again and it’s still happening for us.
Only on Internet Explorer, yes. I can’t test Edge, I did test Firefox and Chrome and it didn’t happen on either of those.
The url I gave you is the page where we’re seeing the popup.
