The WordPress core doesn’t send out other emails than that, but other plugins do send emails related to administrative functions on the site -– WordFence security notifications, backup failures, etc. I need to receive those emails, and not my client.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a way to filter and forward emails like you suggest.
I’ve added this as a feature request. I know it might be a little involved, but lots of plugins offer this feature – almost every backup plugin, WordFence, etc. Maybe you could take a look at how they build that function in to give you a head start?
Stiofan, the keys that were in GD were the example keys right under each input. I would NOT have put those in — I have enough experience to know that wouldn’t work. I wonder how those got in there.
I’ve updated to the correct api keys, and will have the user try again.
Actually, that doesn’t solve the problem, since I DON’T want the client to be getting all the security notices, updates needed ,etc. emails. I only want the client to get the GD emails. Is there any way to filter for this and write our own snippet/function?
This reply has been marked as private. The user sent me the image of the error they are getting, and I have attached it.
The error says that stripe is in test mode, but I have verified thatStripe is in live mode in its dashboard, and that in the GD dashboard, Stripe is both Live and activated.
Why is the user getting this Test mode error?
Here’s my issue from before: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/issue-with-stripe-plugin/
Please note: this time I have confirmed that the user was trying to make a payment via Stripe, and could not complete the transaction. I’ll gather more info from him on what exactly was happening, but there does seem to be an issue with the Stripe feed.
Thanks!
BTW, still not able to do automatic updates for Payment Manager from the dashboard…
This is the error I get:
An error occurred while updating GeoDirectory Payment Manager: Login details for GeoDirectory failed! Please check GeoDirectory>Auto Updates and that your membership is active. Internal Server ErrorNEVERMIND: just thought to try re-saving my license key after re-syncing my account. The license key must change, right? Once I did that, the update went through normally.
Paolo & Stiofan,
The listings are SUPPOSED to be entered in draft form– the client requires a manual approval of them before making them published.
AND, the user MAY have used a coupon, but I’m still checking on that.
This reply has been marked as private.I’m just seeing a new update to the GeoDirectory Payment Manager, to 1.3.1, but the version that is downloading from Theme Tailors is still version 1.3.0
Please point me to instructions about how to re-sync my account so that I will be able to do automatic updates.
I have been keeping GD and all add-ons updated–I’m pretty focused about keeping all my sites updated.
The client is just getting started with trying to solicit listings, so we have not had a chance to retest if Stripe payments are working now.
It is possible that the listing that had no associated Stripe payment used a coupon, but I’m not seeing anything on the listing in the Listing Transactions area — no payment, no coupon, nothing. See attached image. Shouldn’t there be SOMETHING in this box?
This reply has been marked as private. If we were going to hack the email send function in GD to make it possible to send to someone other than the site admin, where in the plugin files would we look? Can you point us in the right direction?
With almost 1000 categories, I did not want to set the icon manually for each. I finally found the forum post that shows where in the database to set the default icon if one is not specified (and this can only happen on import, since creating a category in the dashboard requires an icon). I set my default icon to the desired image.
Then I tried to update via import all my categories to have no icon image, but the import would not let me do this. I ended up deleting all my categories, then re-importing them on a csv with no icon specified, which forces the plugin to use the default.
Eventually, being able to set a default icon for all categories via the dashboard would be a nice feature.
Thanks for all your help!
Hi Paolo! That’s exactly what I did, but I’m not clear about what format should have been given. Should it have been a full URL with http? A relative URL?
