HELLO – IS ANYBODY OUT THERE? IF MY LISTINGS AREN’T BEING INDEXED BY THE SEARCH ENGINES, THIS IS A SHOW STOPPER

I have the exact same problem If you leave the search for blank it comes up no results
Update: figured out how to have my custom post type appear as the default search parameter. Still would like to get rid of places, or at least be able to change the name.
Advanced search is still a problem unless I don’t understand it. Within my custom post type I’ve selected the fields I want for advanced search and sort, but they do not appear on my advanced sort widget. Look forward to hearing back from you.
This reply has been marked as private.This is a show stopper for me because as soon as select any choice but “place” on the home page search, it takes me off the home page and to a complete list of those custom post types. I need to know ASAP if I’m going to be able to get rid of “Place” before I populate any more data.
Also, my advanced search does not seem to work.
Update: I have everything figured out with just one exception. On the search that appears under the home page map, it defaults to “Places” which I prefer wouldn’t appear at all. I have checked it not to appear on the map, but do not see where I can eliminate it as automatically populating the search field.
