November 1, 2015 at 10:07 pm in reply to: Hide `geodir_sidebar_right_open` and `geodir_sidebar_right_close` on Add Listing #58726Why not just add two text widgets in the sidebars of the relevant templates and not the Add-Listing template? No need to modify any HTML …
Did you also clear your cookies and the geolocations as per https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-can-i-clear-geo-location-settings/?
The map recenters fine for me, see image. How did you delete them?
Did you delete a default CPT like places or events?
Deleting a non-default CPT should be no problem. Thanks for letting us know.
1. The advanced search addon.
2. If a user has accepted geolocation on entry to your site, the site will stay in that location until the user chooses to go to a different location. So if she visits the events pages, it will only show the events for her set location.
3. If you use the NEAR ME widget, the site will go to /location/me which is a page that can show all CPTs. The page is using the GD Home/Location template.
4. I have no idea really. It will not change any GD features but you might end up with a conflict between the two plugins. I’ll ask the others too.
I have escalated this, it seems FaceBook has changed its ways again. We’ll get back to you as soon we can figure it out.
November 1, 2015 at 9:32 pm in reply to: What happens when a listing is deleted but has number of days remaining? #58717A payment is per listing, so a user has no credit if a listing is deleted early.
But the old listing can be edited into a new listing so the 10 days are not lost. The user can change title, address and everything else of the old listing.Works fine for me (I am near Brisbane). You have to make sure you allow your browser to share your location.
Sounds like a local caching issue, try deleting your stored geolocation approval:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-can-i-clear-geo-location-settings/On some sites you have to wait a bit for the suggestions to come up.
Just for your info, http://www.love-weymouth.co.uk/ is a customer site, not our site.
So we did not add anything, that is the current configuration. Please review this: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#typical
Any GD page is based on these templates, and you can add any widgets, including Kleo widgets, to any of the sections.Your visitors will get stuck in certain cities or states if browsing your site because the caching of GoDaddy which you cannot turn off. Just ask them to move your site to a normal VPS and do not use their caching.
This will help you get the style for the buttons: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/
I quickly threw together a location page for you: /location/
I will leave the CSS issue for the search bar on non-GD pages for Paolo to fix when he is back after the weekend. Kleo is over-riding the GD CSS.
It looks like you are on a GoDaddy WordPress Managed server.
You will run into problems with Geolocation and GoDaddy’s cache. If you would move to a normal GoDaddy VPS, these problems won’t come up.Can you give us correct access details, please. So we can test the CSS for the search bar.
GD Home Map is for the GD Home and Location pages and will show all listings for the place you navigated to.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#typicalGD Listings map is for GD Listings/category pages, and will show all listings relevant to the filter or search you applied.
You can add the Popular Category widget to one of the GD Listings sections. That will show all relevant categories.
Giuseppe, that image is from http://wpgeo.directory/
When you go there, do NOT accept the geolocation and then try the NEAR field. This is how the GD search works:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#how
If you enter VIC, Google will think you mean the state of Victoria in Australia and then GD will look in your database to show all listings that are within your set radius of the center of Victoria.
Same for Caseres: Google makes up its mind that you mean Caceres [don’t ask why, we don’t know 🙂 ]If you use the Advanced Search addon, the search can suggest cities that are already in the database too. See image
