That page uses a number of Popular Post widgets in the GD Home Content section, and each widget is set to filter for different listings.
Let us know how you went.http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/faqs/what-is-the-best-way-to-update-the-gd-plugins/
How did you update? I cannot replicate this on my test site. Please post your URL and WP admin details in a private message, so we can have a look.
That’s how it is supposed to work, you have chosen to use buddypress instead of GD, and buddypress uses WP login.
Registration can be chosen in the integration settings, but login will be WP login.A filter limits the listings to upcoming only, it is a limiter.
The sort by featured first is the only sort you can have.
So your settings will only show upcoming events, and will show the featured ones first.
It is not a double sort.http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/customizing-geodirectory-templates/

Easiest is to provide a link to /location
That will go to the home page of the directory and reset the location switcher (although the visitor will not know that if you don’t show it to them). That is how it works now.
If you enable geolocation, it will find the closest listings and add a SUGGESTION ONLY to the search field, that you can easily over-type.
There is no near button, only a search field you can type in what you like, try it.
The search function and the geolocation are two separate processes. That is a message left over from a previous version.
With the latest version, you should be able to just choose Avada at GD > compatibility settings.
You can cross that message off.I have created a dummy listing (you can delete it when you want), so you can see the setup now.
It will ask people whether they want to see the listings around them.
If they say yes, the site will show them what is available in their location.
If they say no, they will get all listings. That is the only way it can work if you want people to see listings in their location.
Keep this handy too: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/faqs/how-can-i-clear-geo-location-settings/
GeoDirectory must be activated per website and not network activated.
Did you network activated it?
You can only have one events custom post type, so it depends on your site.
Your filters for Popular Post widgets on the location pages are in the widgets, and you can limit/filter the listings displayed by ticking the relevant checkboxes, and then sort by one option only.
Can you add a few more listings in different cities before we have a look at it again. You have only 2 listings in the same city, so you will not be able to see how the system works, until you have more listings.
If you have set up a custom field with an expiry date, then you can always change the expiry date of the listing manually at the time you approve it, but it cannot be automated.
It can be automated if you would use an event custom post type, and set all filters to upcoming; then listing that are past their use-by-date will no longer show.He is not redirected to the homepage of your site, but to the start page for that location.
If your widgets are set to filter for location, then only listings for the location chosen by your visitor will show.
Basically, if a visitor chooses to see all listings for a location by choosing that location, that is where he/she will be taken. You are suggesting that if a visitor is looking at all the listings of a subcategory for example, that if they choose a different location, then only that subcategory for the new location should be shown. I think it is more logic that if you choose “Aalsmeer”, then you want to see everything in Aalsmeer for starters, and then you can always drill down.
