The Welcome widget you are using is for the header area if you use the GD
GDF options > header
Once you enable the GD admin bar, you can put that widget in there.You should use the GD Login widget in the sidebar.
This might be a better solution to the sidebar problem:
.geodir-content-right {margin-top: 10px;}
That will work then on every page, not only where you used the search widget.That sounds very much like the author page:
GD > design > author
For example:
http://wpgeo.directory/author/john/?geodir_dashbord=true&stype=gd_place&list=favourite
Change john with your username once you registered.If you post your URL and admin details, then we can have a look at your settings. That is a standard page you are trying to create.
Also have a look here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/author-pages-just-show-either-events-or-places/#post-26502Why not just add GD widgets to your homepage?
What are you trying to do with your homepage? What do you want to show?It seems you want to create a page template for wordpress pages, not for GD pages.
You need to add them to your child theme.http://codex.wordpress.org/Page_Templates
Let us know if I misunderstood.
You do not need the map, but you need to enable the switcher so your visitors can see where they have navigated to:
GD > multilocation > settings > Show location switcher in menu > YESFirst make sure you added the menu at GD > design > navigation > Show geodirectory navigation in selected menu locations > pick your main menu.
If you like, send us your admin details in a private message, then we can have a look at your settings.
1. Does the count change if you use GD > GD Tools > Sync GD Categories ?
2. That is not how GD works. Every listing needs to be in a Custom Post Type, and a category. Sub-category is optional.
I’ll get Stiofan to look at your question.
I guess our translations are not meant for machine translations?
I’ll ask Stiofan to have a look at your question.Have a look at s2member > restriction options > URI restrictions
So you would put /add-listing/ in the field for business owners (whatever level they are in your system).
That will stop members from adding listings, but will not remove from the dashboard widget.
One way that can be solved is to only use the buddypress login widget, and add the GD dashboard widget to protected page for business owners only.If you use custom post types, ALL will be used in “all accommodation”, “all schools” etc.
That is why it is separate.When it is used in another composite phrase, you can translate that too, examples:
Add New Place Category
Hi there, I would like to enquire about this place. I would like to ask more info about…If you use Custom post type, you can change Places there, to use singular etc.
Can you be a bit more specific where you think it is a problem, then we might be able to suggest a solution.
1. You can add the Popular Post Category widget. Not quite 2 columns …
2. Just add the WP Tag cloud and select the type of tag you want to show.And add this to your CSS to show the whole title:
.geodir_category_list_view li.geodir-gridview h3 {white-space: normal}
It is even simpler by just adding 100 in the Listing width, see http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/widgets/#popular-post 🙂
What did you search for?
You probably have navigated to a particular location without realizing because you are not using the location switcher, and you do not have a map.
So when you accept to be geo-located, you don’t realize you are taken to a particular location. When you then search for something you are searching within the location.
Go to /location and try again. That resets the location switch to everywhere.
I also suggest you activate the switcher so your visitors can see where they have navigated to.Just choose the 2 grid, and set the Listing width to 100.
http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/widgets/#popular-postLet us know how you went.
