From what you said (#503457) I asume that working with “packages” I will be able to make money when someone add a listing and that I should forget about “s2Member plugin”. Right?
Correct, that is the simplest option.
Or, once I have bought the “s2Member plugin” do you thing is possible to sell memberships instead of packages, just like the great idea you mentioned above?
Selling memberships [aka user registrations] is completely independent of adding listings.
All users need to register before they add a listing, you can do that with or without a membership plugin.
There is no option for that, but I will forward your question to a developer just in case there is a simple way of achieving that.
ThanksHi Robert
1. How/where do we update the images showing in each main category?
Edit the category and look for “Category Icon”.
2. How can we make the subcategories display when hovering over or clicking on any of these main categories? (For example: under the main category “Jazz” we have the following sub-categories “Acid Jazz”, “Bebop”, “Boss Nova”, “Jazz Blues” etc. etc.)
That would require your own customization.
Thanks
What would you want to combine them for?
You asked earlier about memberships, not paid listings.
Charging a fee per memberships is a good idea if you want users to add unlimited listings for free during a period, for example $20 per month for adding as many events as you like.
But if you want to charge for each listing, then there is no need for a membership plugin, at least not for adding listings. Thanks
Have another look at the link:
create a file called add_new_gd_schema.php in wp-content/plugins with this code in it
Thanks
S2 is for user registration (Memberships), GD is for post (listing) submissions.
If you want to charge for becoming a registered user, you want S2. That is done with S2 PayPal or Stripe options.
If you want to charge for adding a listing, you will need the GD Pricing Manager.Memberships cannot be Price Packages because they are two different things.
Hopefully that is a bit clearer now? Also, what can I do to see the “Package/Item” how they look online?
To see how they look online, create a few test listings and change the package for them, to see the differences.
Thanks
Have a look at WP Settings > Font Awesome > Enable Pro.
ThanksAugust 17, 2019 at 1:03 am in reply to: Individual Location Page says "This page doesn't seem to exist." #503433Most likely, your permalinks are not set to “Post name”.
Your location page does exist: https://myevpark.com/location/
https://myevpark.com/parkings/franklin-square/ is a Detail page.
If we need to check your settings, then please post your WP admin details in a private reply.
Thanks
They basically all will look the same by default, but some packages will allow more options to be added, or they can be featured etc.
If you want them to look different, then you can add options that will show only for some packages, or you can make them look different with CSS styling.
To see how they look online, create a few test listings and change the package for them, to see the differences. If you explain in more details what you have in mind, we may be able to give more specific information.
Thanks
We’re glad to hear that your newborn has come of age, it’s looking good 🙂
Always use the ones for V2.
The other files are for the older version. The simplest way is this:
GD > Extensions > Membership tab > Enter your membership license you can find at https://wpgeodirectory.com/your-account/Then go to GD > Extensions > Addons tab, and you will be able to install them from there. They will automatically be the correct version.
Thanks
Hi Robert, to include another schema, you can use the code provided here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/schema-type-for-custom-post-type-what-is-schema-type/page/3/#post-122410Thanks
It is best practice not to add locations like that, because you are creating all empty pages.
Cities, states and countries are automatically added to the system at the same time a listing is submitted (from the frontend) or added in the backend. If you do want to upload cities:
GD > Settings > Import/Export tab > Locations sub-tabThanks
August 16, 2019 at 11:46 pm in reply to: Video Support doesn't represent what I see on my WP Dashboard #503422That is still a video from V1, in V2 that should look different but have similar options. We’ll need to fix that, thanks for pointing that out.
You will find your settings at GD > Settings > Claim Listings tab.
