You cannot change a default location after adding listings.
DO NOT CHANGE ANY LOCATIONS in the MultiLocation Manager:
All listings in that location will be deleted if you do that, see note on the edit page: “Post will be deleted if both city and map marker position has been changed.”Just MERGE bad location with the correct ones.
Create a correct one before merging if you do not have a correct one.Providing links helps us pinpoint your problems a lot easier.
Please only use private messages if there is private data in the post. Others can learn from this topic as well if it matches their problem, but only if they can see all messages.

But that is standard, is it not?
See http://goldroo.net/directory/Settings:
GD > Design > Home > Geodirectory home page > No
GD > Permalinks > Location url prefix > DirectoryThe breadcrumbs automatically work correctly.
Bobby wants the breadcrumbs NOT to link to the site’s home page.Bobby, why do you want a homepage you do not intend to link to at all?
Am I misunderstanding something?Download the Prices and Payments Add-on, and activate it.
Then go to GD > Prices and Payments > Payments and choose your payment gateway(s).
Then go to GD > Prices and Payments > Prices and create your pricing packages.PDT is Western US time I think. Maybe that is where the PayPal server is that processed your payment?
Maybe Stiofan knows …
Looks like the Auto-Locator is the same as GD’s Share Location Addon. So you probably can only use one of the two locators.
Not really sure for the rest, I can’t directly see any problem if you only use the GEO-my-WP for non-GD posts and pages.
But Paolo might be best placed to comment on this. Why not try it, and let us know how it went? I would not think it can do permanent damage. Backup first or use a test installation.
Stiofan, can you have a look at this?
When you set up a pricing package, you will be able to:
1. Choose which fields can be submitted – from none to all
2. Price
3. How long the listing will last at that level
4. Whether it will be featured or not (given preferential position)
5. Number of images that can be added
6. How many categories the listing can be added to
7. Will the user be able to see how often people visit their listing
8. Add a send to friend form or notYou can create as many packages as you like, from very basic info to everything included, and as many variations you like in between.
The documentation is a work in progress, sorry …
Hi Brian, just to recap, this is what I would recommend when you are considering setting up your GD site:
1. Minimise the amount of CTPs
2. Don’t forget you can use CTP > Category > SUB-CATEGORY
3. It is better to have broader categories than have too many categories for every little variationAnd to answer your last question:
Rather than an “add listing” page, you could direct link to the different packages from a “Features” or “Pricing” page maybe?
A bit like this: http://goldroo.net/sample-page/Hi Sandor
Have a look at this page: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/places-categories-and-listings/And have a look at the demo at http://wpgeo.directory/
You’ll see a ribbon down the bottom of the map, they are the Custom Post Types, like your top categories.
Clicking on them will change the listings on the map from one Custom Post Type to another, and you will also see that the categories change in the right hand corner of the map, to show the categories of your Custom Post Type.Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
GD > General > CSV upload
You will have to replace the gd_place with the gd_CTP-name.
See also more here: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-general/#csvAnd did it work?
Have you tried to reset your permalinks:
Settings > Permalinks > SaveSee also the image for the settings of this site:

Side note: change your widgets at Appearance > Widgets > GD Home (not sure where you have your Popular places widget for the moment: sidebar, content?)
This reply has been marked as private.Trying to understand the rest of your post now.
“if I have one CPT on a listing page for restaurants, then anyone going to a location page rather than a specific category (CPT) will only be presented with restaurants”
Not sure what you mean here. If you have more than one CTP, then going to a location page should show all CTPs on the map.
Example: http://goldroo.net/location/australia/queensland/
Unless you choose to only go the location AND the one CTP:
Example:
http://goldroo.net/attractions/australia/queensland/“Maybe I don’t want all CPT, but maybe I want a random (or based on proximity to the user) selection of listings from the top 3 categories (e.g., restaurants, bars, shopping).”
You can add more than one Popular Post View widget to GD Home, and set that to sort random. For example at http://goldroo.net/location/australia they will see max 4 random Attractions and max 4 random Accommodations.I feel like I am misunderstanding something …
