    Hi Cathy
Since you do not have any listings in the two categories you’d like to delete, you can just delete them.
Assuming you have not renamed “Places”: In the left hand menu of your WP admin go to “Places” > “Place categories” and delete the two categories that you don’t need anymore (or rename them to what you want).
If you just want to remove the empty categories from how they show above your map, then delete the “Popular post category” widget from your pages.

    That’s correct, Desti.
The new version will have optional different URL construction, and the current version does not have geolocation yet. So neither the errors you reported are in the current version.

I just reminded Paolo to have a look (the developers are flat out getting the new version ready for release).

Hi Desti, the demo is currently running the new version which is still being fine-tuned for release shortly. We are aware of these errors, and working on them. Please wait a few days until things are ironed out.

Sophie, can you post a link to your site here (you can do it privately if you like), and give me the URLs of the pages where you have the non-translation.
I just ran a test and “Website” and “Add to Favorites” should translate correctly.
It is also best to wait a few days until the update is rolled out, that will fix a lot of small errors, and it might well fix yours too. I suggest we have a closer look then.

    Hi Sophie
You’ll find the language file for that in /wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-languages.
Let us know if there is anything else I can help with.

Hi nasc, this would involve giving the business a choice to save a draft of their unfinished submission, and the option to later retrieve it.
It also would mean that for those fields that are “required”, the form will not allow to be saved until the required fields are completed. That might even be harder, if not impossible.
Even if possible, this would not be an option that most people would be interested in, I think.

Here are a few suggestions that might work:

    • Explain somewhere on a page all the different info that your form will collect, so the business knows what to expect, when submitting their info.
    • Divide your submission into a free submission that collects the basics, and then refer them to the next “stage”, which is really an upgrade option, but that will collect the next lot of data. By using the payment add-on, you can divide the submission in as many stages as you like; it will look like a temporary save to the business.

Flagged this one for the developers, not my expertise.

Hi Lindsay, you can only assign one icon per field.
Anything else would require changing the coding etc.
You should be able to use make a SELECT field required, it should not give you an error.
I’ll forward your question to the developers.

Right, done a bit more testing, and whenever I change “search for” to anything else, a empty search does not return any results, but with “search for” an empty search returns everything.
Have a look at the URL if you use “Keywords”; the Keywords term is what will be searched for. That should not happen. If you use “Search for” the search term in the URL will be empty, that is how it should be.
It seems to be fixed in the new version, so stand-by …

Not sure what would be recommended, that depends what you want I guess; short URLs or URLs with as much info as possible.
You can choose not to use the location in the URL if you want them shorter. Not that I am a SEO-er but I think URLS with more info about the page (including location) might be more SEO-friendly.

Regarding the search question, I can’t replicate the same problem, you might have some other conflict?

You spotted the improved permalink construction in the demo.
In the new release you will not need “info” or anything else in your URL if you don’t want to. I am afraid you’ll just have to wait a bit longer … 🙂
