The Whoop theme is not ready for V2 yet, that is a few weeks away.
You also need to set a location, that is correct.

If you want to use V1, you can get old copies at the bottom of this page: https://wordpress.org/plugins/geodirectory/advanced/
And the V1 addons are at https://wpgeodirectory.com/your-account/

But the better option is to build your site using V2 and when Whoop V2 is ready, then you just switch theme.

What do you mean with Ad widgets? Are they widgets that are GD widgets?

Have you installed the V2 version?
In that case you cannot use the Whoop theme and permalink settings are at WP Settings > Permalinks.

I changed GD > Settings > Locations > Show Advanced > Archive urls on details page > Disable
