ACT and “Australian Capital Territory” are different regions in your database, you need to merge the locations: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/manage-location/#merge
On top of this, if I search for “Canberra, ACT” and just hit search without selecting an autocomplete location, a whole different set of places are returned.
Have another look at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search/#near especially point 4:The default GD search is not an IN search, but a search NEAR THE CENTER OF.

It may need a bit more, your theme is taking over the styling.I don’ think it is CSS, I suggest you check out your WP menu settings [and possibly GD > Design > Navigation].

Have a look at the Date custom field you created, that will have a HTML Variable Name, see image.

This reply has been marked as private.There are quite a few other membership plugins that do not break GD, like Ultimate Member, s2member, Paid Memberships Pro etc.
It is very unlikely that GD can do something about the conflict, so you can contact the “Indeed Ultimate Membership Pro” developers to see if they can help.
