That is only possible if you turn off auto-zoom, and then select one of the zoom levels to suit.
That will then applied to all home/location maps generated by that widget. What you are doing is not “hiding the locations from distant islands”, but you are removing all listings in some categories from the map.
So if you have a category called “Hawaii” and all Hawaiian listings are in that category, and you hide that category, then there are NO listings for any map that includes Hawaii.
The result will be what you describe: “No Records Found” on the map.I added this at GD > Design > Script:
ul li#menu-item-gd-location-switcher ul { margin: 0 80px 0 -80px; }Because you were also hiding all clinics.
If you ask all listings in a category to NOT be displayed on the map, they will not.
The zooming is based on addresses of the listings, not categories.
I am a bit confused as to what you are trying to achieve, for example why do you have categories named after a state? All listings are already ordered by state because their address.
If you can explain a bit better with exact links, then I might be able to understand what you are trying to do. ThanksYou can add the GD > CPT Categories widget. That should do what you want.
Let us know. Thanks. Thanks for letting us know.
You were hiding a lot of relevant categories to be hidden from the map at
GD > Design > Map > HIDE POST TYPE AND CATEGORY ON MAP
I have un-hidden all of them, please check. Thanks
That seems to be an error from the EWWW Image Optimizer plugin. I left it deactivated for now.
GD is not compatible with SG Optimizer, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/what-caching-plugin-can-i-use/
That might be the reason you could not find it. As soon I purged that cache I could see it.Thanks
GD > Custom Google Maps > edit the map of your choice > see image
I don’t think you can filter POI.business by just bars and nightclubs …You’re welcome 🙂
You did not set up WP Super Cache correctly, I fixed it for you:

Quite a few GD sites use a custom field with “area served”, and if a visitor leaves the “NEAR” field empty, all should be returned in the search depending on what the visitor selected for the “area served” field.
Of course if a visitor searches for business that serve “greater whatever” AND are located near the center of city XX, then only listings near XX will be returned.
You might just have to clarify that the NEAR field refers to the location of the business, and has nothing to do with the area served.I hope that helps. Thanks
March 10, 2017 at 10:18 am in reply to: Disable reviews by prices and payments package type? #366530Hi Scott, have a look at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/common-code-snippets/#package
That will allow you to hide the comment section with CSS.
ThanksThis reply has been marked as private.I had another look at that, and like Kiran said, the majority of your listings do not have a category.
There is no listing at all in cat 539, so the shortcode then goes to “all” cats.
I added one listing to the photography cat and all seems well.
Thanks“Error determining where geodirectory is installed” means the system can’t find the core plugin because it’s not activated.
It is correct not to network activate GD addons.
