Hello @ottowiner Thank you for contacting us regarding the translation 🙂
Did you check our translator’s handbook?
Its really based on your GTE and locale manager to approve your translation. Make sure you contact them often and be their friends. If you already translated alot of of the strings, chance to get your self approved to become our PTE also higher. So you might want to make a request to become our PTE on WordPress. PTE can validate the translations on the specific project.
For more details please go to the translator’s handbook.
You can also contact me on slacks @ismiaini and make a direct message to locale manager or GTE and include me on the chat. So i can vouch for your request.

I understand sometimes its really hard to work with locale team, most of them are volunteer that has their own standard and limited time to approve translations or approve an editor PTE/GTE request.
I really suggest you to try to contact most of your locale editor on WP slack to approve your translations if it looks like its hard to become editor yourself. I just contacted 2 of Spanish (Mexico) Locale Manager and Editor and added you to the chat so you can see how i did it. Then you can try to contact other locale editor in order to get your translations approve by them. You can always add me on your chat to them so i can jump in and help you with the request.
I also realize that you haven’t finish the Geodirectory Readme translations yet, which is about 150+ strings. You might to translate it based on their style guides and glossaries that may apply.
Hello,
Managing and validating translations in WordPress is language team responsibility. Please make sure you get in touch with them and follow their glossaries & style guides.
You can contact them on slack again and ask for help to improve your translations. Did you tried to fix some of your translations and asked them to look at your updated translations? You can try this with a few strings at a time.
I can try to remind them again about your request, but it’s really up to them to approve the translations or your PTE request. So make sure to make personal contact to one of the local Managers, and if he didn’t response try another locale manager. You can include me and alexrollin on the slack direct messages to them.
Hello, I already replied on your request in WordPress.
Unfortunately your Locale Team is quite hard to be convinced. You will need to update your translations and following their guideline until they are satisfied and trust you to become PTE.
Meanwhile, lets hope for the progress on Locale translator to approve your translations. You could also ask your locale team about how to make your translations better.
Hello @andrestello-abrego.
Took a while to get your slack id from wordpress as it different than your gd id, i was hopping you contacting me on slack first as i gave you my slack id. But i just sent you a message on WP slack.
I saw your last update on GD Version 1 on WordPress translation was 3 days ago on. You will need to contact your local PTE and asked them to approve your translations or you can ask them to become PTE and approve it yourself.
Looking forward for the update translation 🙂
That is great to hear! Feel free to message us on Slack to connect with more GD translators.
This is what we want to hear, that adding updates to WP.org translations makes life easier!Hello Andres @andrestello-abrego 🙂
