ah – I found the Auto Update (duh) but I put in the clients user: biz2 and pass ********
and it still throws the error :-/
July 2, 2014 at 5:46 pm in reply to: GeoDirectory Location Manager Breaks Permalinks & List views #7265Downloading update from https://wpgeodirectory.com/download/geodir_location_manager_1.0.6.zip…
Login details for GeoDirectory failed! Please check GeoDirectory>Auto Updates and that your membership is active. Internal Server Error
I don’t see anywhere in the plugin where I’m putting in a license key?
The purchaser is my client – username is biz2 — I logged in and it says 0 purchases so I can’t find anywhere in the Theme Tailors site that I can download the zip?
Can you just send me the zip file for 1.06?
PS if you want to throw in there the Prices and Payments add-on — you know if there is any bug left in there, I’ll find it for you & be super helpful in helping you locate and squash it.
🙂

edit.php (152)July 2, 2014 at 3:37 pm in reply to: GeoDirectory Location Manager Breaks Permalinks & List views #7236@vikas – you are seeing the bug in action then.
I turned off the Location Manager plugin — this AM I had to actually rename the folder to force it off.
Now that the add-on is disabled – you can see all the Places posts are back:
http://cl.ly/image/0y2u3e0H353e
Please follow these steps to re-create.
Enable the Locations Add-On.
Things should still be working at this point.
Now go to the permalinks –> Change to “Post Name.”
Now witness all things break on the site.
My bet is a PreGet Posts is messed up somewhere, or you’ve got rewrite rules somewhere that are going haywire.
At this point – there are NO other plugins running and it’s the default 2013 theme so the only culprit can be the Locations add-on.

Well, I guess I can just use a “Featured” category for now and only show that category until we’re sure this is the direction we want to go for this.
It would be nice if that existed without the addon from the admin for those of us who are not (yet) looking to monetize their sites.
PS – the site has purchased the $45 multilocation it’s via the client’s login – @colettebaronreid.com is the email.
Is this an option in the admin? If so, I’m just not seeing it, I checked the screen options and they’re all checked.
I’m not seeing it in the Place Information panel

And it’s not in the right hand column either?
Use Glyphicons for stars instead of star.png which masks a colored in div.
The current setup only allows for white backgrounds – otherwise the star.png file must be remade to match the background of the theme.
But on top of that – if there happens to be a lot going on in the theme – sometimes the color loads first, then the .png starts load on top…
It would be way better to make the stars glyphicons which change their font color on mouseover / on selection etc no?
June 30, 2014 at 11:57 pm in reply to: Send button escapes the containing div in the thic-box modal #6896@paolo – that just ends up hiding the send button — have a look:
http://dev.theinvisionlab.com/community/?gd_place=michele-domingo
On the page you linked to – the same behavior applies you’ll see the send button scoot down as the error warnings get added.
To some extent – is is my theme -which it looks like has increased the font size and form input fields such that now the containing box is too small… but overall this will continue to break on other themes that also have larger fonts/input boxes.
I can shrink down my font in the box / make the box bigger for now — but I think you’ll have better compatibility with themes if you use a different modal plugin – one that:
1) doesn’t hard set the height such that the height can’t adjust to additional content inside the modal.
2) Allows the user to click outside the modal (eg on the translucent bg) to close the modal box if they don’t click the (x).
Once again, I really like the Easy Fancy Box stylins — check it in action here — click the “Sign Me Up” button http://colettebaronreid.com
Try adding lines to it via inspect element — and you’ll see that the modal box has no trouble increasing its height.
@Vikas — BOOM> that fixed it. Thank you!
I will for sure post when I get things up and running more – I want the review to say more than great help from support 🙂
Aha! Completely obvious now that I see it… I was thrown off by trying to remove the filter didn’t realize I could just remove the entire action and recreate. Nice!
Thank you @paolo!
BTW I’m integrating this with the Salient theme – it’s looking really nice.
I’m going to replicate how Salient will either put your images up top or if a video is present, then the video goes up top.
For Salient theme – it’s for their “portfolio” but I liked the look of it.
Anyhoo – one more tick box checked.. now onto the image vs video!
*topic resolved*
*impressed by fast response on Saturday!*
@paolo – thanks for taking my suggestion! so much nicer having them all in their own dir… the template I’m using has got quite a number of files as well so it was getting confusing!
Thank you also for updating the release notes! – (ps so far still not showing here):
Looks like the update to 1.1.5 breaks having any of the templates in the theme folder?
I can’t find the 1.1.5 release notes – from the wordpress admin – a link is given but the most recent update showing there is 1.0.4 ?
http://cl.ly/image/2B3Q1J2t3d0l
Did you take the feature request and have the theme override files in a folder? If so – what is the folder structure? I tried geodirectory-templates and it didn’t work, so rolled back to 1.1.3.
