OK I understand.
So the results wouldn’t be accurate like with the GD search form divided in two sections.
Thank you
P.S. Sorry I originally attached a screenshot of the Amazon search form to show you an alternative and I forgot to take it off. I realised that even doing it like Amazon would still be limited to selecting categories, while I think your form will also scan descriptions etc.
Thank you
Looking at one of the websites on your showcase.
It looks like they have managed to achieve this somehow:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/budo-finder/
(e.g search “aikido berlin”)
OK thanks
Hello
I would like it to do what your two search boxes do (general search + location search), but all in one box.
Would this work?
Are there any addons or plugins for this, as an alternative to buying a whole theme?
Thank you
You’re welcome 🙂
This reply has been marked as private.Hello,
When we make a post on the forum it’s also for open collaboration with other members.
Someone else might find useful information there for their own project, and they might also be able to contribute with their own suggestions. Can you please move it back to where I posted it.
Also, I never received an answer to my first two questions on this thread, so hopefully someone can help me.
When I have a job request then I can post it here.
Thank you
Two more things I should have mentioned:
Where it says “Tables”, I highlighted all the tables there.
Where it says “Run as dry run?”, I un-checked the box.
Hello, I found a solution 🙂
My web host suggested looking for a “search & replace” plugin.
I installed a couple, but I found this one to be the best:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-search-replace/
After activating it, I went to Tools – Better Search
Where it says:
“Search for”
put the http url for your website: http://www.longbeachagents.com
Where it says: “Replace with”
put the https url: https://www.longbeachagents.com
This will find hundreds of files in http and then convert them to https.
My site is now showing the green lock everywhere 🙂 Firefox, Opera and Chrome and it even works with GD Booster (and I’m not even using the other two plugins anymore to force https).
They recommend backing up your database before doing this.
I hope this helps!
You’re welcome! 🙂
If I don’t have the plugins, then I can use GD Booster and I just get the yellow triangle warning like you do on Firefox.
But if I use the two plugins I mentioned, they fix the warning problems…but if I activate GD booster the page goes blank.
I just found this interesting article:
Sorry I made a mistake, in my previous post I said that when I use GD booster (plus the two WP plugins for https) then the yellow warning shows again.
What I meant was that I get a blank page if I activate GD Booster (but the green lock is ok, with no warnings).
Hello, maybe of interest:

Hello,
I also installed the brilliant “Let’s Encrypt” SSL certificate as my web host also includes it in their CPanel.
But I had a problem with the yellow triangle and exclamation mark warning from Firefox, saying that some parts are not secure.
Another problem I had was that on the Opera browser, if I did a search on my site, when I reached the Search Results page, it would not be secured and the green lock disappeared.
I found a quick fix for now by using a plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/really-simple-ssl/
Because the warning was still showing in the WP admin area, I also added this other plugin which resolved the issue:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-https/
I came to this forum to see if SSL was mentioned and I found your post.
I visited your site on Firefox and I see that you also have the same problem.
If you click on the yellow warning, you can see that the problem is caused by some elements like images’ urls being http instead of https
I think the plugins are a quick fix, but it’s probably a better idea to change all files on the system to https and I’m looking for a way to do this.
I have another problem now. If I activate the GD Booster addon, then the warning shows again…
I have attached a screenshot of the warning icon on Firefox.
Hello,
I think good business is not just about terms and conditions.
It’s about being as nice as you can to your customers so they will be loyal paying members for many years, and they will also recommend you to others.
I’m used to a forum based on free collaboration where people helped each other all the time, and some important parts of the software were actually created and improved by members doing this and posting code.
I’m also used to a web host that helps me as much as they can with things that are also not in their t & c, and that’s why I’ve been with them for 6 years.
I don’t think you would be out of business by helping new customers who are trying to change the looks of their site when they are just starting, they would stay with you longer.
In my case most of the questions are about making the looks simpler, not adding any shiny elements.
And there is no option of having professional customisations by you as an alternative.
Your software so far seems very good, your price structure with a choice between buying addons or a fully inclusive membership is brilliant, but the way you do support and customisations I think is wrong.
It would make more sense then if for the changes that you consider customisations you replied with a quote saying “our professional team can do this for this amount £…’
I don’t think your project would be out of business, it would make more revenue.
