Does the order of the fields make a difference or was it just the act of creating the new field?

The order of the fields used when there are many fields to show in search bar, so it helps to display fields in particular order.

So this is an add-on feature? I don’t see any widgets that say Author Actions in my current version of GD

Link to Renew/Upgrade listing is available in “GD Author Actions” widget in GDv2.

in the past my designer said not to upgrade to V2 or it will crash my site because it is customized.

GDv2 is more easy to customize by some more features available and it also require less customization. See demo sites with some themes https://wpgeo.directory/
If any customization done with GDv1 then it should me made compatible with GDv2. You can try GDv2 on staging site first before doing on production site.

Yes they can use the upgrade button at anytime to renew, i do believe at present though they would lose the extra days.

Upgrade listing will start new cycle of 60 days from date of upgrade where as renew listing will extend a expire date by 60 days if current cycle is still running.

Invoicing plugin is not active on your site, Invoicing plugin is require to work Payment Manager functionality as expected.
