1. The Category dropdown looks fine and I’ve attached a screenshot for your reference.

2. Use the custom CSS code to fix it. Insert into GD > Design > Scripts > Custom Style CSS.

I’d like to chime in here, maybe you can perform a full backup right now and use a plugin like better-search-replace to find those older URLs and update them to the correct URL.
