Magic thanks Guust, Mike.
Thanks for your recent help Guust,
We are well on our way and are suitably impressed.
Re: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/gutenberg
It looks like you folks have not fully-integrated with the new WordPress engine;
Q. Can you please help me find/expose the available settings for
sort_by in the gd_listings shortcode ?I wish to create a block that lists most recently added items.
Searching your support for “sort_by” does not help much, hence my question here.
Best regards
Mike

<div>[gd_listings title=”Featured Places” post_type=”gd_place” sort_by=”az” title_tag=”h3″ layout=”gridview_onefifth” post_limit=”5″ show_featured_only=”1″]</div>
<!– /wp:html –>Thanks for your assistance Guust,
I see that 2x plugins were missing [‘userswp’,’ninja-forms’], however we went through the setup and it installed those and placed a tick next to those items in the setup UI, so I’m surprised they were not installed.
Can you please let us know what you did to ‘setup the basics’, we will note that in our documentation.
We also see 2x whoop themes and the child, however are not sure which whoop is selected. One of the whoop themes says a new version is available, so we would like to delete that one.
Re: http://v2.studentflat.co.nz/places/new-zealand/waikato/hamilton/attractions/loginlogic-test/
The map does not show, with error attached.
Things are logical enough for us in the administration interfaces, so that is a great improvement.
Two final questions to complete our test-drive:
Q. How can we get Whoop to display like https://wpgeo.directory/whoop ?
Q. Can we activate ‘whoop_child’ in our instance and will that play with the v2 parent theme ?
Best regards
Mike

The invoicing settings were reset, was set to nonsense.
I reset this September 13 and it’s been going well, until last week;
It reverted all invoicing settings again!
Q. Do you know why it does this and do you have any tips to prevent this from happening in the future for us ?
Regards
Mike
Sincere thanks Patrik,
I will advise the site administrators as such, as no-one mentioned altering the configuration.
We will confirm all is nominal in the next couple of days.
Best regards
Mike
Hi Alex,
We have now upgraded all plugins and it still behaves as advised earlier.

Re: “Unless you made changes to core files of plugins and themes [which you should never do], there is nothing to worry about when updating.”
Q. How do I create a child theme of ‘surpreme-directory’ when it is a child itself ?
We tried and WordPress complains that ‘surpreme-directory’ does not exist.
Regards
Mike
We solved half the problem ourselves. The homepage map works, so we use those constraints to filter the homepage map, triggered from the ‘Popular Categories’ links on homepage.
We are very disappointed that the system after 12mths simply does not work to filter by Category in the main paginated interface.
Thanks for investigating Guust,
A full upgrade represents quite some risk for us at this time in heavy production.
Q. Do you have any pointers I can follow to resolve without upgrading ?
This support request comprises 2x faults:
1. /places url does not work for some categories like /places/house
2. /?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&&sgeodir_propertyType=house
2.1. Does not work for custom fields like this, previously before your access it would return nothing for both house and apartmentRegards
