We got it working by simply editing one of the listings and updating. Thanks anyway 🙂
Hi Thanks, i just realized that when we cleared the listings and locations the settings in “manage all custom fields” for the CPT were reset…
Thank you.

eg. “gd_place, gd_riotsprotests, ect.”
thanks

We are however utilizing the url eg. mysite.com/location/country to be able to link from another site to that country. So what happens is that you click on a link on another site and it takes you to the map, already opening the country with it’s pins.
I’ve noticed that the country categories we have are set as default(thank you for pointing it out), however i have to physically edit(just open and update) one of the listings in a country …eg. Algeria – only then does the map for Algeria load with pins. (We believe this to be a bug) – without doing the physical update the map simply doesn’t load.
And then there is still the issue we have with DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo) – i’ve managed to create a simple listing using “Congo, Democratic Republic of the” (as you have it) to see what the format looks like in csv, but when i edit the listing again, it again asks for a Country… and as result, no country/map page (mysite.com/location/country) – no records…
Help on this would be appreciated as we have a deadline we’re working towards.
Thank you.thanks, ill have a look and see if i can figure this out…
Another question: Democratic Republic of Congo is not seen as a location, i did some googling and it seems you are using the following format: “Congo, Democratic Republic of the”
How would i put that in the csv without that comma “Congo, Democratic…” making things difficult?

(We prefer filtering) Thus, how would we go about creating multiple filters in the category bit at the bottom right of the map…
Eg.
Countries
– south africa
– nigeria
– ectYear
– 2017
– 2016
– ectEvent Type
– Riots
– Violence
