August 1, 2019 at 12:05 am in reply to: Event URLs – today, tomorrow, this week, this weekend #500654
I noticed something else that’s not working as it should with this.
1) Say I search for “next 30 days”: https://playinginpuddles.com.au/events/?etype=next_30_days
2) I then look at those results and toggle to page 16 of this search: https://playinginpuddles.com.au/events/page/16/?etype=next_30_days
3) I then decide I want to change my search to be for “this weekend” only. It keeps the search at page 16, so it brings up “no results”.: https://playinginpuddles.com.au/events/page/16/?etype=this_weekendIs there a way this can be fixed so it knows to default back to page 1 of results?
Thank you,

See here an example:

Thank you
KatieHi guys,
I absolutely love this update – thank you.
One query: I’ve noticed that Friday is included in the “this weekend” search. Is this intentional or an error?
Thank you,

We are doing some updates to the layout of the site this week, and would love to include it, or at least allow space for it, if we know it’s coming. Thanks!
Kiran: Currently there is no way to sort by expire date. But it will be implemented in future.
Katie: Thank you, that would be great.
Thank you for that.
You used to be able to make the expiry “Never” (see screenshot). Is this possible with the new system?
And is there a way I can sort by expire date please (please see same screenshot)? It allows me to sort listings by title and date added, but not expiry date.
Thank you.
Yay, that’s working now. Thank you very much!
I can now see the franchise settings, but it hasn’t linked the new ones I added earlier today.
Also, how do I edit the expiry date of listings please?
I can’t see a way to do this.

(see screenshot please)Can you please tell me if there is another option, as this isn’t going to work for recurring events – and I have a lot of recurring events.
Thank you,
katieHi Kiran,
In unticking that box it does display the events again on events that have passed, but it also displays all past events on upcoming events too – i.e in recurring events. This isn’t really a great option, as it means I have to manually remove every date as it occurs to make the listing appear up to date.
I don’t think v1 acted this way.
Here are some examples to show how it displays (plus a screenshot):

We’ve disabled the event data output via events custom fields – details sidebar, and are using a shortcode in the sidebar instead. The shortcode [gd_post_meta key=’event_dates’] outputs the dates for all upcoming events, but it is empty for past events. Something is preventing it from displaying. Your help to rectify this asap would be most appreciated.
