excuse me… an open-source plugin that offers forum access by paying a monthly fee – there’s no ‘beyond scope’… if you were offering a proper developer documentation with your non-wordpress standard coding, then it would be okay to just guide to that – but you have merely two items in the dev docs…
anyhow, it was a nice exercise, i am glad i stopped after about one months being excited for this project.
I have updated the translation to 1.14 – I will be happy to provide a copy of the translation in return for a little contribution – please get in touch through [email protected]
great choice of using weDocs as documentation theme. when will the developer documentation be uploaded? maybe even as work in progress?
I will review the current translation next weekend and then get in touch with you guys.
my question as well…
@Vikas, please share the documentation once ready.
I am comfortable with that and would like to know more.
I am interested in this as well.
I start to think that it will be better to have someone develop my own theme/plugin… The way things are being developed in WP GD is many times not flexible/generic enough.
June 22, 2014 at 7:05 am in reply to: How to Output Overall Review-count for a Place/Event Category? #5544This just shows how many things are possible that the developers are not considering/looking into.
I will let my theme rest and see what has happened in 3 months, if not I’ll have my own theme developed.
subscribing as I have the same issue – all in the domain, all is being added in the breadcrumbs (despite me not wanting this false administrative taxonomy to be added).
looking forward to the release.
I am using jetpack – that should have the same effect on the image optimization front though it seems that GD images are not considered by the plugin as well?
going a little off-topic now…
sure, you said shortcodes will come which will be beneficial if they are plugin-based.
without seeing a roadmap, it’s difficult to know what and how will come – maybe that, a vote on features and a dedicated bugtracker would be helpful to both you as developers and the community in understanding what’s being worked on.
I think the most valuable would be documentation to allow other developers to contribute (you will anyhow make your revenue by charging for access to the forums).
haha – i know vikas… still, thanks a lot!
Hi Vikas,
I have to admit that I am not a pro when it comes to performance, however I would think that it would make more sense to simply query a number of records depending on the map level but covering all CPT. If there are cluster markers, even better.
I think that the current limitation is not very user-friendly and would hope that you adopt a different approach, e.g. like the above where you could display 100 markers or something similar, no matter which CPT.
Thanks for your consideration!
Yes, I would appreciate that explanation as in my understanding, the map simply queries posts – that query should be extended to further CPT, at least on a geographical taxonomy.
