HI,

1st make sure to update all your plugins and theme.

You can’t use old add-ons with the latest version of GeoDirectory and you are also using the very 1st version of the theme. 0.0.1 we are now at 1.0.2.

Because the theme was still in beta at that stage it doesn’t have auto update working yet. You will need to manually update it via FTP.

Also you need to update all the GD add-ons.

Hi,

we will build an API in the next few months (possibly 6) and our own PhoneGap app (no Buddysidekick).

Appresser will only be compatible if their developers work on it to make it compatible once we have an API available.

At the moment not having an API for GD, there is no possible app compatible.

Hi,

any author page redirects to the home page. I think because you have USERS ULTRA PRO active which I think it is taking over the authors pages.

I tried disabling, but it didn’t have any effect. I think it writes its rule on the .htaccess file and that could be also causing problems with your permalinks.

I don’t believe that plugin can be made compatible without a lot of customizations. I’d suggest to use BuddyPress and the our Bp integration.

Well you would be loading 1 script more that you could avoid loading, but if you need to show the individualy icons, ShareThis doesn’t provide that.

Not sure what you mean with this:

Would the ShareThis plugin have the same problem with event types?

ShareThis is automatically added to events in the sidebar…

Hi,

the default sort order is Newest. To change that please go to GeoDirectory >> Place Settings >> Sort Order.

Activate featured (click on it on the right box to make it available in the left box) and make it default.

You can’t apply a double sorting. Either you sort by featured or by AZ.

HI,

yes we are wroking on extending the WP REST API. AppPresser can’t be made compatible yet, because we don’t have a complete API yet.

Once we will have they’ll be able to make it compatible. We prefer to work with PhoneGap though.

I think it will be easier in this case with your alternative plugin.

If you ask to its developer if it provides a php snippet to add the widget in a template, I’ll give you the code to add the social links below the tabs in GD pages.

that really depends on the theme, but with css anything can be hidden. Please provide a link where you see the tags that you want to hide and we will provide the css.

We need to see the page where the element is in order to provide the code to hide it…
