Hi,
no wordpress hosting will not work. They add their own cache system which is good only for blogs or static websites.
VPS is virtual private server. We suggest to get one with cloudways, the 1gb droplet at $15 month will be more than enough for a while and with the scaling up is possible by clicking 1 button.
Godaddy, I would stay away. I am not a fan of their services.
Thanks
Hi Locator,
I’m sorry, I’ve double checked your settings and settings in our demo and but I can’t find what’s wrong.
I’ve alerted Stiofan, who I’m sure will get to the bottom of this.
Thanks for your patience,
Hi,
if you want we can move this in the Jobs section, where someone could be interested in helping you with some custom css.
Let us know,
There isn’t, please disable Yoast canonical URLS, that are not able to recreate canonical URLs of locations.
Thanks
You shouldn’t show the address on listings via custom field settings with Whoop if you use the list view anywhere, because whoop already adds the address. Otherwise hide one of the two with css.
Thanks
Hi,
you added the location switcher in both main menu and footer links. We suggest to add it to only 1 menu to avoid behaviours like that.
Thanks
September 21, 2015 at 8:16 pm in reply to: New custom post types not showing on left sidebar in dashboard #53999Hi Emma,
did you follow this instructions: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/custom-post-types-add-on-overview/?
For each field it is noted how data should be entered.
Example:
Post type
The new post type system name
Usually singular.
Minimum 2 characters
Maximum 17 characters
Lower-case characters and underscores only.If this doesn’t solve, please provide a URL and credentials in a private reply and we will have a look.
Let us know,
Thanks
I’ve replied on the other thread.
ThanksHi,
considering that you are using Whoop and that you are building a big database of listings, if you want fast performance I would move away from any kind of shared hosting no matter what provider and get at least a VPS with 2GB of RAM.
Unlimited storage and bandwidth are secondary in this case, it will be very hard for you to go over 30GB of storage and 2TB of bandwidth, while on this shared webserver you are already using all resources they are giving you.
We will soon do a blog post about hosting, we already started writing it, giving test results and suggestions about the best hosting for any kind of needs.
Hope it will help.
Thanks
Thanks
Hi,
the duplicate ajax alert only works on the front end, are you adding the test listings from the front end?
If you provide a URL and admin credentials in a private reply (only staff can read them) we will have a look at you settings.
There could be a javascript conflict not making ajax work and check for duplicates.
Let us know,
Thanks
p.s. I’ve splitted your topic and moved it in the correct forum. If posting a question for the Ajax duplicate alert, please always open a new topic in the correct forum. Avoid posting on existing topics from other members.
Hi,
pls see here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/google-map-moved-its-zoom-button-location/

Hi,
there are 2 differnt options:
GeoDirectory >> design >> listings >> Listing content section view
GeoDirectory >> design >> search >> Search content section view
Thanks
Please try disabling geolocation in Advance search, refresh your page and try again.
I am having no problems with Safari, firefox or chrome (see image attached).
Possibly GeoLocation service is really unable to get your lcoation right now. Have you tried with a different browser?
Thanks
Hi,
the problem isn’t that it’s using so much resources. The problem is that those are very little resources for an applciation like WordPress + a theme + GeoDirectory and more plugins.
Thanks
Hi and thanks for joining,
if the GD Tools reports that : Add Listing page exists with proper setting.
The page should be there. I think it checks for the page slug, not title.
Otherwise you can create just any page and assign it as the add-listing page in GeoDirectory >> Permalinks.
If you provide a url and admin credentials in a private reply (only staff can read them), we will have a look and fix it for you.
Let us know,
Thanks
