The only widget we provide for that is the popular categories widget. Sub catgeories appear in that too.

Otherwise you can built your own navigation with categories as top level menus and sub categories as sub menus.

that is not possible. Multilanguage posts are separate posts and WPML simply put a relationship between them. It doesn’t allow to see comments from tranlsated posts, all in one place.

the only thing that I see that could be causing that is another plugin. Can you please try disabling all non GD plugins momentarely and let us know if the problem goes away?

If it does, please reactivate plugins one by one until you find the one creating the problem so that we will know where we need to fix this.
