they have definitely all been improved. I’m not 100% sure they are perfect though, as my English is far from perfect…

Yes users registered with S2member or any other plugin can submit listings without having to register through GeoDirectory too.
Most WordPress plugins use the default wp users system. We all simply register users into WordPress, so whether they are registered with GeoDirectory or s2member or another plugin, they are all just WordPress users.

Yes almost 200k requests is a lot, either traffic on your website is high, or something else wrong is going on.

That’s probably because in WP general settings you have
pt_PT as selected language.Glad it is solved! 🙂
They are providing a tool to create alerts and limit your daily budget if you really fear something could go out of control.
I really don’t think Google would want to destroy their reputation to start stealing few dollars from small users.
In their new User Guide they have a FAQ section with this question:
Can I still use Google Maps Platform for free?
and the answer is:
Yes. Starting June 11, 2018, when you enable billing, you get $200 free usage every month for Maps, Routes, or Places. Based on the millions of users using our APIs today, around 98% of them can continue to use Google Maps Platform for free with this credit.
2% are big portals with hundreds of thousands of hits per day that probably abused the Google Maps API in the past. Not the average GeoDirectory website.
In any case tomorrow we will investigate this more in depth and we will update you all with a blog post.

The limit until June 11th will remain 25000 requests per day, after it very hard to tell because each type of call has different limits.
In any case everyone will have a $200 credit.

I may be too optimistic, but my impression is that for most things, like for example Native Dynamic Maps, they actually raised limits.
Most probably, 99.9% of our users will not have to pay.
The biggest change is that from June 11th they will require you to enable billing for all your Google Maps project and that can be done only if you have a credit card.

Hi,
please ask to your server admin to increase the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini to at least 10mb.
Otherwise you can install manually via FTP.
