Hi Yasmine, thanks for reporting that. I’ve flagged it for Stiofan and we will include it in next release.
Thx
Hi,
as far as I know, it has been commented out because it was not working properly.
If you wish to see this back, I’d suggest to request it here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/requests/ to see how many users actually need it.
If many will vote for it, we will consider it.
Thx
Hi Identity,
honestly, I don’t know what that means and why it was added. I asked Stiofan and he was surprised too.
We can’t find any trace for this in the project manager. I asked Kiran to let us know, but he’s taking off from today till the 28th for Diwali (major Indian holiday), so I can’t give a straight answer till then.
We’ll keep you posted.
Thx
Hi @ocmedialtd,
that error would appear only if GeoDirectory is deactivated and the addons are not.
Try renaming your plugins folder to something like plugins_old.
That should deactivate all plugins and make your website come back.
Than you can rename it correctly and reactivate the plugins, making sure GD is activated before addons.
When updating, did you update both GD and all addons all together?
To track down this problem I would need to know the exact operations you did right before this happened.
Let us know,
Thx
HI Sfamilia,
can you please update everything to latest version and see if problem persist?
Did you activate any new plugin right before noticing this?
Let us know,
Thx
Hi,
this doesn’t appear to be due to a php error, static files (like any css or image) would be visible but in your case they are not.
The server appears to be down. Can you connect to it via FTP?
I doubt it has something to do with the update, cause nobody today reported a similar problem, but in any case I’d first contact the server administrator to ask them why the server is down.
It could be due to something else.
Let us know,
Thx
I know there are a couple of functions linked to file name and file title. 1 is for security and another 1 for autoupdate. I really need to ask Stiofan, to know if that can be changed.
Thx
Hi,
in WordPress Settings >> Media, do you have “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders” enabled? That is a must.
If yes, we would have to check your website, would you please provide a URL and wp admin credentials in a private reply?
Thx
Thx Jeff, I can’t unfortunately. We can’t change the files name without breaking the autoupdate.
You phone field will still be geodir_contact, but you have to add the custom fields you created at the end of the file.
Let us know,
Hi Yasmine,
it should be all fixed now. There was nothing you could do to fix, there was a wee bug and we included it in the next version. (your website already includes it).
Thx
Hi,
yes you wil need to add the locations and category to your URL too in GD >> Permalinks.
Let us know,
Hi Nicola,
CPT all have unique taxonomies. WordPress doesn’t allow to create common categories for 2 or more CPT.
That said it would be feasible, but it would require a customization.
Thanks
No Aris,
thank you for spotting the bug!
I’ll definitely ask Stiofan to include it in the next version that we will release tomorrow.
Thx
I only activated and immediately deactivated the location switcher (looks very bad on that theme).
Ah in addition I deactivated the GeoIp plugin too. Not sure though if that you can reactivate or not.
If you do, let us know if it was part of the problem.
Thx
