I’m not sure that it is possible. Because of custom post types and custom location in permalinks, I think only 1 category will be shown in the URL being that the parent OR the sub-category.
I’m asking to Vikas to look into it and let us know…
Thx
it gives a server error?
Maybe you need to whitelist my IP?
189.149.199.16
I have to ask Vikas to see if it’s feasible. It could actually slow down map loading.
We’ll let you knowHi,
did you enable at least one custom post type to be added by users?
GeoDirectory >> Design >> Navigation >> Allow post type to add from frontend
Let us know
Hi,
that no category on the map could be the reason.
If you provide a link and wp admin credentials in a private reply I can check for you what’s wrong. Thanks
glad everything is finally working as you wish…
Thxthat only search for titles and categories within the map…
Not it isn’t, the only way to hide it would be to move the add-listing.php template within your child theme and comment it out.
Thx
Yes, you need to install Custom Post Types addon and that will allow you to edit your current post types or add new post types.
In our demo I used it to change Places to Attractions and to add Hotels and Restaurants.
Thx
Hi,
there is no option on GD to upload cities right now, because cities can be created via front end form.
GeoDirectory currently only allow to import listings via CSV.
While importing listings, you simply need to add the location in the csv like this for example:post_address
Golden Gate Bridgepost_city
San Franciscopost_region
Californiapost_country
United Statespost_zip
94129post_latitude
37.8198772post_longitude
-122.4789386and the San Francisco location will be automatically added to your database.
Locations that are missing from your database can be added by users while submitting new places too.
Simpler isn’t it?
Thanks
Hi,
it looks like your wordpress permalinks were wrong and now they are fixed. I don’t see the problem on your website. All links seems to be correct.
Thx
Hi,
it is this plugin making the add listing form not accessible:
404 Redirected
Whenever you activate a new plugin it’s a good idea to check if everything is still working as it should. If it doesn’t, you should try to disable all recently installed plugins to see if they are the cause of your problems.
Thanks,
Hi,
pls go to GeoDirectory >> Design >> Navigation
Add “Events” to :
1) Allow post type to add from frontend
2) Show add listing link in add listing navigationThe event submission will be enabled and the link to the event submission form will appear below the places link in the main navigation.
If you wish to manually add the link to your menu it will be the same link with only the last variable changed.
http://supplierdirectory.eventindustrynews.co.uk/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_event.
You still need to add Event to Allow post type to add from frontend.
Hope it’s clear,
Thx

Hi,
currently the plugin doesn’t provide options to implement similar things.
There are 2 location switcher that you can now also use via shortcodes.
this is the one used in the menu:
[geodir_location_tab_switcher]
this is a drill down location switcher similar to GeoTheme.
[geodir_location_switcher]
It would require quite some code customization to get the locations to dynamically appear in a menu.
Thx
