you only have 1 parent category per CPT, why not remove it and only work with 1st level categories, instead of hiding it?

His problem was registration disabled in Settings >> General of WordPress.

Each Custom Post Type is like a separate directory. They use different database tables, categories, tags, custom fields, prices… everything is separate.
The home map has navigation link at the bottom of the map to show 1 CPT at a time.
With an extensive customization it could be possible to show all CPT in a map, but the map and the website, would most probably load very slow.
