I would start asking why the server takes almost 2 seconds to send the 1st byte. That is a huge delay.

to add more categories you have to modify the parameter of the shortcode that adds them in inc/geodirectory-compatibility.php line 1019.

You cannot dictate the order, it will always order by category with more listings, thus the name of the widget (popular categories).

even the sample page and hello world post created when installing WordPress are giving a 404, if you uninstall our plugin and theme the problem will persist, so it must be a server configuration error.
